Honda has officially launched the Activa 125 at a price of Rs.52,477 in India. The Activa 125 is available in two variants namely Standard and Deluxe. Activa 125 was first unveiled at the 2014 Auto Expo event by the Japanese two wheeler manufacturer.
Activa 125 measures 1814 mm in length, 704 mm in width and 1151 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 1260 mm and 765 mm of seat height as same in the existing model. So the new Activa 125 is 53 mm longer and 4 mm taller than the existing model. The Activa 125 is 6 mm thinner than the current Activa.
The Activa 125 scooter gets single halogen headlamp. The instrument cluster is a mixture of both analog and digital instruments. It is powered by 124.9cc, four stroke, air-cooled petrol engine option with V-matic Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). It can generate maximum power output of 8.6 bhp at 6500 rpm. The engine can deliver a peak torque of 10.12 Nm at 5500 rpm.
Activa 125 offers four shades like Midnight blue metallic, Pearl sunbeam white, Sword silver metallic and Black. It gets the tyres with the size of 90/90 R12 at the front and 90/100 R10 at the rear side. The standard variant includes 130mm drum brake at both front and rear while the deluxe variant gets 190mm disc brake at the front and 130mm drum brake at rear.
The both variants get electric start as a standard. Combi Braking System (CBS) is available on both variants which provides shorter braking distance with more stability. Five spoke alloy wheels, under seat storage option and new digital speedo meter are the highlights of Activa 125.
