“The ŠKODA Superb is the flagship of the ŠKODA brand, and since it was launched in 2001 worldwide, it has stood for high quality from the Czech Republic,” states ŠKODA CEO Winfried Vahland. “Our designers and engineers have been working hard on the redesign and made our top-selling model even more appealing.” The Superb reconfirms everything good about the brand that has made it so successful for the last twelve years: lots of space, outstanding functionality, higher comfort, top safety features, the best value for the money, and commanding elegance.

Superb with appealing elements of the new ŠKODA design

It is apparent with the very first glance – the new Superb brings new energy to the premium sedan segment in India. The vehicle has a completely new front and rear end as well as a fresh interior. “Our designers have given the Superb an attractive and tailor-made dress,” states Frank Welsch, ŠKODA board member for technical development. The brand’s design language is apparent in the appealing elements in the top-selling ŠKODA model. With its clear lines, precise quality and balanced proportions, the vehicle embodies elegance and a commanding presence.

The front end has been completely redesigned up to the A-pillars. The radiator grille, vehicle logo, front headlights and fog lights, bumper, front fender, and bonnet are new. The new ŠKODA logo is now placed prominently in the centre of the bonnet, which is slightly sloped downward. The completely redesigned front headlights convey the particularly expressive character of the new Superb ‘face’. The Superb now has bi-xenon headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights and LED turning signals for the first time.

The rear of the vehicle has also been completely redesigned. The new rear end is clear, clean and precise; everything is in its proper place. The contour of the lights has been reinterpreted; the C-shape of the rear taillights shines even more brightly than before.

For the first time in the ŠKODA Superb, three light strips make up the C-shaped rear lights that are characteristic of the brand, coming standard as LEDs. Two new cubist triangles below the boot lid are additional unmistakable elements of the new ŠKODA design.

Three metallic paint shades in Metal grey, Magnetic Brown and Brilliant Silver are also new choices for the Superb’s exterior. The design of wheels has also been refreshed.

The Superb limousine still features its clever Twindoor system. Thanks to this unique, patented solution, the hatchback can be opened in two different ways. Users can either just open the boot lid or the entire rear boot including the rear window.

Operation has also become much easier, with a button for each door position in the fundamentally revised Superb. The interior of the ŠKODA Superb is also refreshed with new generation steering wheel.

The ŠKODA Superb’s gigantic capacity remains unrivalled

The new edition of the ŠKODA Superb confirms the vehicle’s outstanding capacity. The car features the largest luggage compartment in their class and the most knee room for passengers in the rear seats. No other vehicle in this class offers as much space to its rear seat passengers as the ŠKODA Superb. The vehicle features
157 millimetres of rear leg room – a benchmark in the upper mid-range segment. Starting now, a new feature makes travelling in the rear seats even more comfortable.

The Superb’s luggage compartment is absolutely unbeatable. The basic volume of the limousine is 565 litres, best-in-class. The compartment can be extended to 1,700 by folding the rear seats.

“Simply Clever” wherever you look

The redesigned Superb confirms its reputation as a particularly clever representative of the upper middle class. The Superb stands out from the rest with practical solutions almost everywhere you look. In addition to an umbrella compartment in the left rear door, there are numerous storage options in both the front and rear of the vehicle: the jumbo box in the centre console, storage compartments in the doors, under the passenger seat, the roomy glove box, the practical compartment for glasses or even the storage compartment in the folding armrest in the rear seats – everything has been carefully thought out. This also holds true for the luggage compartment. It is not just gigantic, but also has practical features such as, lockable storage compartments behind the wheel housings, bag hooks and lashing points.

Adaptive Front Light System (AFS) provide the best possible visual conditions when driving in the dark. AFS guarantees optimum illumination of the road and surroundings in various driving situations.

Additional modern assistance system is also available. Hill Hold Control makes it easy to start up slopes without using the hand brake. In the event of an accident, the passengers are protected by up to eight airbags as well as three-point safety belts and height-adjustable headrests. The body of the vehicle is extremely torsion-resistant due to the use of high-strength steel, and the well-balanced chassis ensures stable road holding.
