Following the unveil of the new Xcent sedan, Hyundai has today launched the next-generation Santa Fe SUV model at a starting price of Rs.26.3 lakhs. The new Santa Fe looks bigger in both length and width but seems to retain the same wheelbase.
Hyundai offers an upgraded version of the 2.2-litre diesel engine for the new Santa Fe. The engine gets third-generation common-rail technology for better efficiency and lower emissions. The power and the torque output of the engine are 194 bhp at 3,800 rpm and 44.5 kgm at 1,800-2,500 rpm.
The next-generation Santa Fe is available in three different versions viz., 2WD Manual, 2WD Auto and 4WD Auto. The 2WD version features both six-speed manual and automatic gearbox while the 4WD version is available only as an automatic.
