Skoda plans to launch the 2013 Octavia in India on the 3rd of October. It has unveiled the 2013 Octavia on 8th August in India. The 2013 Octavia, the third generation model will replace the second generation model which is known as Laura.This car is much bigger than the previous model.It will be available in three variants like Active Ambition and Elegance.
The 2013 Octavia will get three engine options. The 1.8 liter turbo petrol engine can produce maximum power 177 Bhp and maximum torque of 250 Nm and it is mated to 7 speed dual clutch automatic gear box. It also gets 1.4 litre turbo petrol engine which is mated to 6 speed manual gear box. It can deliver maximum power output of 140 bhp and torque of 250 Nm. The 2 liter turbo diesel engine can able to develop the maximum power of 140 Bhp and torque of 320 Nm which will be standard on the 2013 Octavia. This variant offers both automatic and manual gearbox options.
The car gets the Skoda’s new Vision D design philosophy and will come with features like 16-inch alloy wheels, powered mirror adjustment, power windows, ABS, dual front airbags, traction control, driver’s seat height adjust, steering adjust, remote locking and rear air-con vents etc. It is expected that the 2013 Skoda will be priced between Rs 14-18 lakh.
