DOST,the first LCV produced by the joint venture of Ashok Leyland and Nissan has been recently unveiled in India.The new DOST will mainly compete with Tata Ace and Piaggio Ape Truck.Its three available versions are a base version,a mid version and a higher version.It is powered by a specially-developed, 55 hp high-torque, 3-cylinder, turbo-charged Common Rail Diesel engine and has a payload capacity of 1.25 Tonnes.It will be launched in the second quarter of FY 2011-2012.
