Scope of Farm Mechanization
As in the rest of India, there has been a steady shift from animal power to electro-mechanical sources of power in Andhra Pradesh although the rate of change has been slower than that of the leading agricultural States. The availability of power is estimated at 1.38 kW/ha. Out of this about 90% comes from tractors, engines and motors. There is great scope of mechanisation in the state. A large number of front line demonstrations need to be conducted for popularization of the newly developed farm equipment. Efforts are on to develop equipment for SRI method of paddy cultivation under the All India Coordinated Research Project on Farm Implements and Machinery.Pattern of Assistance
Tractor - @ 25% of the cost limited to Rs.45,000/- tractors up to 40 HP Power Tiller - i) @ 40 % of the cost, limited to Rs.45000/- Power tiller 8BHP & above. ii) @ 40 % of the cost, limited to Rs.25000/- Light weight Power tiller below 8BHP for hilly regions. Power driven equipment (Tractor/Power Tiller operated) Intended inclusion of all tractor and power tiller driven conventional equipment/implement - i. @ 25 % of the cost, limited to Rs.10000/- for essential tractor driven implements viz. MB/Disc plough, harrow, cultivator, seed cum fertilizer drill. ii. @ 25 % of the cost, limited to Rs.10000/- for a set of power driven implements i.e. harrow cultivator and seed drill. Power operated protection equipment - @ 25% of the cost limited to Rs. 2000/- Tractor mounted protection equipment - @ 25% of the cost limited to Rs. 4000/-Other Schemes
1. Govt Memo No.3621/Agri.I(1)/2015, dated:25-06-2015. 2. From the Director of Agriculture, A.P., Hyderabad, letter No.F.M(1)/ 214/15, dated:10-11-2015 and 25-01-2016. In the circumstances explained in the reference 2nd read above and Government after careful examination of the entire matter have decided to give 50% subsidy or Rs.1,93,000/- (Rupees One Lakh Ninety Three Thousand Only) (Ceiling limit) whichever is less in supply of Mini Tractors upto 24 PTO HP (2 wheel drive and 4 wheel drive) to the farmers in four Rayalaseema Districts namely Anantapuram, Kadapa, Chittoor and Kurnool. 2. Accordingly, Government, hereby, accord administrative sanction to give 50% subsidy or Rs.1,93,000/-(Rupees One Lakh Ninety Three Thousand Only) (Ceiling limit) whichever is less in supply of upto Mini Tractors 24 PTO HP (2 wheel drive and 4 wheel drive) to the farmers in the above four Rayalaseema Districts. 3.
