“Chennai has become quite a happening place these days” – This is the general feeling among the Indian technologists in the last few months and I must proudly acknowledge that the initiatives of The Knowledge Foundation (TKF) are the key reasons for such an impression. Highly energetic and much enthusiastic guys in TKF, who succesfully conducted Barcamp Chennai, Blogcamp and Proto is back again with an execusive event for Wiki community, Wiki Camp, in chennai on this month. WikiCamp is an one day event and is scheduled to be on February 25th at Tidel Park, Chennai.

Wiki camp is the first of its kind for Wiki community and Jimmy wales, Founder of Wikipedia is attending the event. Planning and preparations for the wikicamp is going in an excellent manner and the response from the wiki community is really awesome. So far we had a registration count of 149 and i’m sure definitely it would be doubled in the last two weeks. Also it is very good to see people from various domains are registering for the event and that is a good sign of wiki community spread. The event will manly focus on workshops, debates and keynotes on the present state and evolution of the wiki.

This event is completely in an unconference style like the recently held Blogcamp and hence the complete success of the event lies in the hands of the attendees. After seeing the energy and response from the community, now i’m sure that the event is going to be a definite success and a milestone for wiki community.
