Is there any possiblity of auto-clutch bikes coming in the 150cc and above category ? That will be great news for people seeking more power with hassle-free riding.

Is there any chance of Honda coming out with its own clutchless bike ? Coming from Honda, one can expect very good quality.

Obviosly, Jive is not meant for young die-hard bikers. Its main targets are commuters who have to face heavy traffic. It can also be touted as the 1st proper unisex motorcycle (as it is easier for women), what say?
For those who use the clutch to slow down, this is a very bad riding habit, it affects the bike’s durability.

For those who have forgotten, there was a step-thru bike sold by Hero Honda named “Street” which boasted of exactly same gearbox system. I rode that bike years ago and blimey, it ran as smooth as any other bike!
FYI I am not a TVS employee, nor do i own any of their bikes.

Are you a TVS employee? Seems like you have ridden the clutchless bike yourself. It is the possibility/doubt of smooth gear changing in dense traffic traffic that I am bothered about.

to me the gear changing without a clutch will be jerky and not smooth in dense traffic. but can’t say for sure till I have ridden the bike

Don’t say that Vicky is spreading rumour. It was this website that gave the real pictures of TVS’s clutchless bike and at that time there were no name for the bike at all. For people who ride bikes in dense traffic auto clutch is a big boon. Added to it the bike give very good performance and milege compared to an auto geared scooter.

I use a clutch to smoothly slow down in traffic. An auto clutch would make it cumbersome to change gears and slow in traffic.

I too see a failed product even before launch.

it cant be,, as its a motorcycle the mileage should be gr8. so the equation would click IMO. And it will be a boon to ride in traffic ~~

One can as well buy a automatic scooter for crowded cities. and for rural areas where is the need for a cluchless bike?
