While Hero Honda continues to cruise ahead with its Splednors and Passion, Bajaj has strongly build the brand on Discover and Pulsar. TVS may need more than just apache and star to counter the toppers. TVS plans to resurrect the Max-R brand soon. TVS discontinued the Max R in 2005 following the introduction Bharat II emission norm in 2005. Strangely, TVS will launch Max-4R which will meet the new Bharat III emission norm. TVS Max-4R, as the name suggests, will come with 4-stroke,110cc engine (sourced from Jive). TVS Max-4R will sell along with Jive and Star to grab more market share in the rural segment. Expect the pricing of max 4R to be very competitive.

Nice step for mass market.
But they should also target ever increasing performance style segment mainly targeted to new age customers.
Month ago… YAMAHA announced (may be in plans)will be back with RX100 4Stroke engine. Awesome but youth will go by only if YAMAHA has to take care of few technical things. Originally RX100 has poor lighting (unable to drive in the nights), no fuel gauge meter and lean and lymph tyres. If YAMAH will take care of these small changes need to make it littel fatter than the original one…….again it RUMBLES…..
Regarding MAX100R by Suzuki-TVS….the original design is looks exactly Hyena. youth never like such foolish designs at present world…..looks to me TVS doesn’t have good design engineers…all crap designs
What is so gr8 about this MAX? As you claim that it is a bike for rural, will it carry loads in excess of 200kg?
Good News from Max-100R lovers. Wonderful engine sound (noise-less). Still i used to say with known people, only bike which i likes in my life is Max-100R. I am exiting for Max-100-4R release.
Hope it will be alloy-wheel with tubeless tyres also same engine quality sound.
Thanks TVS.
