   TVS Motor Co, the third largest two-wheeler maker in the country, will this month launch three new models: two motorcycles and a scooter.The Hosur-based company said on Saturday that the production of TVS Flame, Apache and TVS Scooty EV (electric vehicle) had commenced and products would be rolled out during this month.”The launch of Flame will enable us to strengthen our presence in the executive segment, which accounts for about 50 percent of the two-wheeler market in the country. We expect the new models to drive sales upward and give wider choice to customers in the expanded product-portfolio,” a statement said.The four-stroke, four-geared 125cc Flame has futuristic styling and technology. Its three-valve engine comes with controlled combustion variable timing intelligent technology.The trendy scooter Teenz EV is targeted at young women, whose commuting is limited to 15-25 km a day. With a range of 50 km per charge, a long battery life and broad utility space, its operating cost will be lower than the petrol-driven versions.The Apache model will have electronic fuel injection technology in the 160 cc category. The electronic control unit has sensors, fuel pump and injector for optimum fuel and ignition timing.

   There is a new King on the Highway. It is called the TVS APACHE RTR 160. It makes fast driving look so easy and effortless. I simply wonder how much superior the fuel injection model will be alongwith the 180cc & 200cc versions which are also in the pipeline. This one itself looks good enough to eat.

   The Neo is a sensible bike for practical people. BUT having said that, how many bike buyers are practical minded. Very few I would say. The majority buyers (in my opinion) make the decision, simply based on looks. So what does that mean for the NEO ? Well time will certainly tell. The other asian countries simply dote on their step-thrus. It is very dear to their heart and do not wish to trade / give it up for anything else. We in India appear to have given it the miss. BUT rest assured, it is a very fine concept and worthy of ownership. NOW . . . if only the buyers would get off their high horse, remove their coloured glasses and see things differently, the NEO will show what it can truly offer. It NEEDS to be given a CHANCE guys !

    hope dt apache 200 WILL BE very smoother than rtr 160 and karizma also hopes that it achieves the top speed greater than 150.i request u to get 6 gears in 200and also hopes that it will be launched before march of the next year.but in rtr headlights needs adjustment and improvement,so i hopes dt the model,design will be totally different (such as the headlight and taillight) from rtr menace and also hopes dt IT CONSISTS OF XENON HEADLIHT AND TPS(throttle position sensor) system and ALSO HOPES THAT IT CONSIST OF BLUISH OR GREENISH LIGHT IN SPEEDOMETER . I also hopes that it has the dimensions greater than 180.and also hopes that the bhp of 200 is greater than 25 and it achieves the acceleration of 100kmph in less than 7 sec and 60kmph in less than 3 sec.and it has the power:weight greater than 150.i hopes dt the indicator of 200 also be LED and it has six gears,and it has double disc brakes or twin disc brake on the front tyre .i also hopes that the power:weight is greater than 150.
    Please change the Rear Shok absorb in 180 and 200,because Presently I used Apache RTR160 &the Bike Rear Shok absorb not work in Good.Pulsar Shok absorb Is very good,But Bike Is not good.

    but my thinking is that why only 200cc not 300cc?????????????????

    Hi Friends,

    I am abijith owner of RTR 160 from hyderabad. As i have seen lot of people celebrating about RTR 160, RTR FI 160 and the yet to be launced RTR 180 and 200, I want to ask a simple question to all the people writing here, do they own an RTR and for how long. I own my RTR for 7 months and I am fed up with the bikes degrading performance. Initially its a very good bike, time wears it out. Gradually the handling gets pathetic, the braking is also pathetic, the pick up goes down, you can feel terrible vibrations into the machine. It gets heated quick. And the best part is horrible service by authorised dealers. Even after checking (calling repeatedly to the customer support/ Service division) with TVS directly and writing to the company no one bothers to check how comfortable is the customer.

    Advice to TVS : If you wanna play for he long run pls improve your quality of service.

    PS : TVS RTR is an master piece but after sales and service sucks. They just brush their hands after selling it, Rest is the headache of the owner. So, think twice before you go for TVS.

    pl plz plz you are requested to give ABS on rtr 200. CAN THE COMPANY ARE ABLE TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF CYLLINDERS TO 2 OR 3 AND VALVE PER CYLLINDER TO 3. AND ALSO HOPES THAT IT CONSIST OF High Oil Temp. Indicator AND Choked Air Filter Indicator.AND GEAR SHIFTING INDIATOR.     Hi, I prefer a scooter over a bike for just one reason. Its luggage carrying capacity. To me its a poor man’s car. You can carry your marketing, your gas cylinder, suitcases, brief case, anything. In addition it comes with a stepney incase of an emergency flat. The only trade off is a bit of riding comfort and stability. But then on city roads which are reasonably smooth this hardly matters. I think thats why the Kinetic Honda DX really took off.
    In this scenario what does one make of the Neo. Its neither here nor there.
