Some 1 above told they’ve beat karizma and pulsar 220 on some ‘big’ highways. Remember, you can defeat even fz16 on a passion if you got ‘it’ inside you. I many times beat apache rtr180,rtr 160,but pulsar 220 was always a winner on my races.

finalky i check both p180 and apache 180 ……..;;..;…… And u knw apache is the street fighter and king of road pulsar cant mess with it..superb handeling and pick up…..vibration is not a prob after70 speed it can easily recover and bike become like a beast on 70 plus braking is superb….pulsar cant mess with apache in braking……so pulsar fans and owners fuck off

why can’t all you dudes understand that if somebody has to compete with the pulsar 180 it’s only and only rtr 180 and for rtr 180 its only pulsar 180. Both the bikes are legends and benchmarks in indian motorcyling, just like royal enfield. I own an rtr 180 and my friend has a pulsar 200. We love our bikes and like to exchange sometimes too. So rather than fighting and abusing each other, imagine meeting bikers and grouping up for long rides on the highway. Hundreds of apaches and pulsars, both mean looking screamers cruising through the highways and people just staring with respect. Personally, i could have bought any of the two but my friend bought the pulsar so! And also in long rides both compliment each other so its fun both in trailing, leading and floating if more in company.
I’ve customized my rtr 180
michellin tubeless, 17′ front and 18′ rear, Brembo Gxe TWINDISC disc brakes at front, NGK spark plug, Propane combustion kit by Holley, Short drive motor over clutch plate for faster shifts, And a new set of handles from Borgwarner. The whole thing cost more than the bike itself he he he……. my friend has even more on his pulsar, I’m just catching up. Gives me 100kmph in around 6 to 7 secs without the propane burst. My quickest was 6.2. But around 4.4 is possible. I’m not the best he he he. In braking 100-0 is around 2 secs. Quite jerky. I’m going for Rotterfeiller stage suspensions but have to accumulate cash for that. I try and repair my bike myself. My friend helps me. He’s an engineer and has worked for an year with Husqvarna motocross. I suggest whatever your bike may be, you should learn about how to maintain it. All mechanics and service centres cannot be trusted and more importantly, they tweak it according to their taste, and you have to adjust. After all its your bike, you should let it be yours.
Please Note: I’m not trying to be a saint here, i’m a biker and bikers are cold blooded devils. But respect for each other and their rides will take you places.

I prefer Apache than Pulsar and FZ.
Reason for Apache:
1. I admired pulsar first, but I was bored of seeing many vehicles at road side. So Apache made sense for me.
2. Apache style and design admired me more than Pulsar.
3. FZ is looking stylish but performance wise FZ is worst.It could compete with Apache for stylish drive alone.
Alright.
Let me tell you the Apache Experience:
Disadvantage:
1. Poor Battery backup.
2. Vibration in the speed of (65 – 75km/ph).
3. Tyre grip can’t be guaranteed
4. Rear view of mirror is not user friendly
Advantages:
1. Excellent Mileage ( I expected 40 but I’m getting 60 ) which makes me real happy.
2. Performace…………No words !!
3. Very smooth riding ( 40 – 55kmph and 80kmph – 115kmph)
Note: Vibration occurs only between (65-75km speed) but after 80km speed, bike is real smooth.
4.Good control.Apache can be controlled at any speed than other sporty bikes.
Note: But the user should get familiar in riding apache.If so the bike is real good.
I have driven pulsar of my friend. Engine sound seemed noisy. (Probably because I liked Apache engine sound). Thats all I know about Pulsar. I don’t have much experience in that.
But I can assure that Apache is far better than any other sporty bikes like FZ or pulsar…

All are said their own suggetions.. So read it carefully and take your own decisions, because somone like Mileage,Someone like Perfomance and the others like Looks. Perfomance wise comparing to others the Apache is good..and it’s very few in indian roads.. so u wil get more looks. Pulsar is a good bike but we can see it around the roads.so it make a older bike.
So think and choose a better bike. and use it carefully. it gives you more comfortness. self use is the better way to keep bike Superbbbbbb

Hi folks….don’t fight..here is the true story of me that how did I decided to buy ….bike. Before two year when I was in 2nd year my roommate bought stunning apache 160…I ride that bike and fall in love with it and decided to buy apache…but that happiness ended soon when by roommate .met with an accident only at the speed of 60 ,he skidded very badly…and this is due to its fucking rear tyre grip..its very poor…before that I heard of it…but belived on that they…then after few months yamaha launches fz…which soon become most selling and successful bike of the year..many of my classmates bought it …its very good bike with a different class but friends it sucks your blood to core…because of its mileage…..then finally only one option left to me that is pulser 180…friends true to say…it is very awesome bike ..best in its class…it gives me mileage of 50-55..have broad rear tyre which gives superb grip…about looks ..I won’t say ..as you n o its a beast..its really gives u lot of pleasure while riding…with its 17.3 ps engin…after all its coming from kawasaki bajaj brand..which is also a producer of sports bike like kawasaki NINJA..dream of evry youth..where TVs is most successful in producing scooty..for ladies…girls favorite brand..that’s it..hope this will help you in buying your next bike…
yamaha fz-16 – yamaha is no doubt a superb company .. but manufacturing yamaha fz-16 is a massive blunder they made. black spot on their name.
Pulsar 180 – no doubt this is the only bike i like in pulsar segment. but it should be compared with 150cc bikes. Even yamaha fz-16 can riun it on road anytime and anywhere.
RTR 180 – BAAP of ALL. TVS has realy rocked making such a great machine running on 2 wheels. Damn this bike can fuck fz, pulsar 200,220 , R15 even karizma R [ note- asshole riding it] . I own this blaster. and i know about its power. I myself have been thru many races & i must say i have ruined them all mentioned above.
RTR 180 is truly Racing DNA unleashed.

I purchased rtr 160 in 2007. Its now 2011. Its is clocked about 60,000 kms. The build quality is so good that it doesn’t seems that it is 4 years old bike. Also maintainace cost is very negligible.
I have fz-s, iam riding it for past three months…
its been a wonderfull experience so far…. easy and comfortable handling it city roads… i bought this bike only for its manly and muscular looks…. it makes the heads turn when you ride it… i havent felt any vibration till 100kmp… its fantastic…

pulsar upto 2007 model is good.aftr tat bajaj startd focusing on milage..now in recent models silencer is a big problem.aftr one year silencer getng damaged..
suzuki gs150r is having a good rich appearence..build quality is good..and we can have a comfortable ride..good milage..but for pulsar build quality is not upto the mark..fz is good.but only it is suitable for younsters..apache rtr is overall good.

I ve booked a ss125 based on reports on the net (I couldn’t ve a bike for test drive).Now can you plz clarify which is more comfortable SS125 or SZR (with ES& kick start) ( for me as well as pillion)—-mostly commuting 30 km/day occassional outing on weekends 100-200 kms

Hi to all bikers, frnds I rode pulsar 180 for a stretch of 116 kms (Mum to Pune), friend of mine had an apache rtr he was my room partner and also have some experience of fz-16 and i also had a first gen CBZ.
My Personal Experience
Pulsar 180 — very poor handling in city traffic & cutting, short handle not supported bike. See short handle requires support by rear end also i.e. swing arms (The two arms holding rear Tyre). The Balance should be made it was like bajaj was thinking to do something new so they put big rear Tyre and short handle. Same is done nicely in Apache RTR the reason why its wheel base is shorter in segment.
FZ-16 is a nice bike, decent handling and average can be controlled, my CBZ, she was used to give me an average of 45 in city, 52-55 in highway. i know you all won’t believe me but its the truth.
Overall pickup, top speed and milege are approximately same for All the above three bikes.

according to pick up i am also shocked how 135 can beat both a n p but it happens again and again.but 135 is only 130 kg while apache 136 n pulsar 147 .

Hey josh u can go for pulsar 180 because i was using rtr 160 it was good in handling but mileage is lil poor spares costs more when compared to pulsar. Maintanence wise pulsar scores more coz of easy availablity of spares. But after doing some 10000kms pulsar’s engine is creating some noise which cant be resolved even after co0mpany service rest of the things pulsasr scores more and FZ is gud bike but lil poor in mileage. On the whole i suggest u to go for pulsar 180 or unicorn.Take a test drive of all the three and take a decision. Happy motoring all.
