Skoda to launch Fabia Sportsline,Fabia Combi and Roomster in India
Skoda Auto India, a division of Europe’s largest car producer Volkswagen will release three novel models of its flagship hatchback Fabia. A novel sports model also included, said a top company executive Newly designed interiors and alloy wheels are implemented with novel sports car Fabia Sportline. In order to gratify the emergent demand for sport automobiles, it will be ablazed by a potential 1800-cc engine.To pull on its familiarity it will release multiple alternatives of the Fabia. Further, to strengthen the brand in Indian market, it will be launching Fabia Combi (estate version) and the tallboy Roomster models. Adding, Fabia Rally car will also be showcased although it will not be accessible for retail sale, said Thomas Kuehl the head (sales and marketing) of Skoda.
The premium car producer Skoda is one among the some auto producers whose sales raised in the domestic market when the total sales begged off due to the slow down in the market. In the period of April-December, the sales got increased to 22% to 11,309. The largest selling brand is Fabia and the company achieved a sales of over 7000 cars in the first year of the release in 2008. Presently, the assembling is done at Skoda’s Aurangabad place. Further, it will be budged to Volkswagen’s imminent plant at Pune in Maharashtra in April-May. In the coming few months, Skoda will be releasing the next generation models of sedans Superb and Laura. Moreover, we have confirmed the plans to introduce the next generation Superb in India. Adding, the novel Laura will strike the market in the mid of the year 2009. Also, we need to maintain the division chief in the Rs 10-25 lakh bracket,” Mr Kuehl said. With the release of its Yeti model in the early 2010, the company will also indulge in an endeavor into the sports utility vehicle (SUV). The Yeti model is anticipated to price around Rs.10 lakh. Further, it will swell its dealership network to 60 in this year.
