Mahindra & Mahindra launched the two cabin pick up named the Genio for the workers in its infrastructure and construction space to travel with their and machinery. The new Genio features two passenger rows and a cargo space.Genio’s earlier version was a single cabin pick up which could accord the driver, a co-passenger and their cargo.
Vivek Nayer, Senior VP, Marketing for M&M’s automotive division quoted that double cabin pick up are hugely popular in Thailand and Europe and judging by the growth in the retail and infrastructure industry here, they know this will be a ready market in India.Nayer said that although this will be an international class product compared to the Bolero there will be takers for both varieties.
The base variant of the new Genio comes with a price of Rs.5.46 lakhs and its higher variant is priced at an amount of Rs.5.95 lakhs.

Good that Mahindra’s nose-dripping badge is absent.
1, Genio Double cab can be registered as private car only if it has the approval of ARAI forpassenger.
2, I have camper deluxe as a private motor car. The lower balljoint had broken twice in the middle of the road and had caused much misery. I wish to buy a Genio DC if the front suspension is different from Camper DX. Camper DX independent suspension is a failure and is unreliable. Moreover these balljoints do not have grase nipples for regular lubrication.
