Maruti is preparing for a slew of launches in 2010. The new omni called Eco, Swift with 1.2L petrol engine, new WagonR and SX4 diesel. You read all about new Eco first at vicky.in months back, now we give you an exclusive scoop on new WagonR. The new WagonR will be based on the same platform as the current one but lot of changes would make it lookalike a new generation car. The new WagonR will get a Bharat IV compliant KB series engine. The new WagonR will be powered by Bharat IV compliant 998cc KB series engine developing 67PS(50KW) of maximum power at 6200rpm and 90Nm of maximum torque at 3500rpm (the current WagonR powered by 1061cc engine developing 64PS of max power and 84Nm of max torque). The new KB series is exactly the same engine which powers the Maruti A-star. Along with the launch, Maruti will roll out a CNG variant of the new WagonR. Apart from the new engine, the new WagonR will get styling changes both in exterior and interior. The exterior changes include an all new headlamp,new front fascia and new tail lamp styling. The new headlamp helps the WagonR to shed its boxy look and extend it life term. On the interiors, the new WagonR will get an all new instrument panel. The new dual tone interiors will help in boosting the sales of India’s 2nd largest selling car further. New WagonR will also come with ABS and airbags. The new WagonR will hit the showrooms by March 2010.

front is ok types. but the rear and sides are the same again.pls shed the boxy image. otherwise W-r is a good car.
new wagon R, needs a total exterior change. Lookwise it is not at all appealing

Its looks much different than that of the current WagonR. The exteriors looks very elegant and the new panel makes it look like a premium car. I am sure there will be more WagonR cars on road if they sell this model with a KB Series engine within the same or slight price changes.
I sold my car and just waiting for Maruti to lauch this new model so that I can send off my rented car. Hope this lauch will happen very soon.
I am also interested in Alto if they powers it with a KB series engine. Please leave me your inputs if you have any reliable info on this.

new model front is ok but need some changes in rear.now its like old model
front of new wagonr is very good looking but the back side is the same as box .it should be modified like new zen .the automatic transmissoin shold be 4speed transmission like i10.pl let me know about date of launch and about auto.transmission speed.at present iam using santo auto.
new wagon-R is good it’s coming in K- serious … so I think It will be good for avery Wagon-R customer…..
Every 2nd person say’s that wagon-R sape is so durty… but every 2nd person puchased wgn-R & reson is his comfort..smooth driving , easy cutting,with best performance…..so I like wgn-R..
wagon r front is good but rear is not good i am intresting in this car and company should change their rear also ats looks like a old model. is this launch in cng model also
