Ford Fusion – No non-sense car 
to go
Owing to the poor sales, Ford India plans to phase out the Fusion. First introduced in 2004, the fusion got an upgrade in 2006. In 2007, Ford added a Fiesta diesel to this no non-sense car and in March 2008 it made price cut on Fusion diesel. But none of these upgrades or engines fail to create among enthusiasm among the Indian buyers. During the launch Ford India said the Fusion combines the solidity, robustness and road presence of a sports utility vehicle and the dynamic, agile qualities of a mid-size sedan. But the Fusion fails to take buyers amidst superior hatchback like skoda Fabia and sedans like Honda city. “We will eventually phase it out due to poor sales,” Michael Boneham, president and MD, said on Wednesday.

never happened to buy it as it was too pricey for a hatchback
now i guess after it is faced out the pre-owned fusion will be available for a lot less. maybe then it will make more sense value-wise

It is disappointing and shocking to know that Ford fusion with LION Heart heart ( powerful 1600 petrol engine) is being phased out. The only car with robust looks, huge interior space hhas technically, aesthhetically no competetor in India. I couldn’t buy this year because of loos in MFs. I won’t buy any other car instead of ford fusion. I will wait for months to console myself and mt family, my daughter and my 4 years son who identifies fusion from a glimpse from distance. it is a wonderful car. The car probably didn’t pic-up because of price. because other companies say too much negative for FORD and hatchback. They don’t compare themselves with the power of fusiion. The company should advertise about its plant in chennai. Show photos of plant instead of car only. Talk about the advantage of interior space along with ease of Parking and multi utility of direct access to mamoth boot space from inside also. PLZ DO NOT PHASE OUT. People are little conservative. Tell them the parts are available in INDIA. Conduct FORD FUSION fiesta Rally’s in cities. I bokked my car. I am going for cancellation that makes me feel upset. Now there is none for me on Indian roads which is so so impressive.
I heard from your website that ford is phasing out Fusion.i am very surprised because I am a proud owner of diesel fusion.When I bought the fusion last year ,there were limited fusions in Amritsar but today there are many in one year.Ford should check its sale chart for punjab and check the sales of fusion.The main lackness of dull sales if any is marketing.Dealers do not promote good vehicle like fusion.i had left swift against fusion .As this quality will not be availble in any other car in this segment.please do not phased out fusion.Pl

I juss booked FORD fusion diesel and FORD dealers show no indication of this thing getting phased out…
Infact I am on waiting list for 3 weeks.
I juss wonder who is the “reliable source” behind the news
