SRV’s perfect mate – the TCDi engine:Imagine an engine which is powerful than the might skoda powers your small car. General Motor plans to strap optra magnum’s 2.0L TCDi engine under the SRV’s hood. The 2.0L, 16V TCDi engine (Turbo Charged Common Rail Direct Injection) pumps out 120.5PS at 3000rpm and maximum torque of 314Nm at 2125rpm. Both these figures are greater than the mighty Skoda Octavia. This engine is also getting popular for its frugal nature. Five speed manual transmission is mated to this engine.
SRV Diesel Vs SRV petrol:
Apart from the new diesel heart, new SRV diesel will feature some cosmetic upgrades. New 15″ Alloy Wheel will replace the 14″ steel wheels found in SRV petrol. SRV diesel will also get new fat tyres i.e 195/60 R15 Tyres(185/65 R14 tyres in SRV petrol). SRV diesel also gets a new 5 MPH Impact Proof Bumper at the front(2.5 MPH in the SRV petrol model). Driver seatbelt in the new SRV(diesel) gets a load limiter. No sunglass holder for the SRV diesel model. SRV diesel is expected to be priced Rs90000 than the gasoline SRV. SRV diesel will come at a price of Rs790000(ex- showroom).
if it happens: SRV diesel will not make any jitter in sedan or in hatchback market but it will certainly rock the Ford Fusion’s new diesel journey hard.

Presently i am have a INDICa and want to upgrade, i thought of Verna and Fiesta top models equal to a 10Lacks and felt not worth of such value. and planned for Optra Magnum which was more powerfull and roomy.
Since i am planning for next years i am to much concerned and can stretch my budget between Optra Magnum LS to Skoda Octavia Classic.
I am in a Marketing with special equipements sold to automobile companies and the age of 32years and want a good image car for my business,
I may drive about 2000Km every month and i need good power and Image and fuel efficiant car.
Please recomond me between Magnum LS or Octavia Classic.
I wand to decide in a day or two.

When are they coming out with the SRV diesel. Dealership says there is no diesel variant for SRV at this point.
A DEALERSHIP HERE IN HYDERABAD SAID, IT MIGHT BE LAUNCHED IN DEC 2008! THAT TOO DEPENDING ON THE MARKET.
