1) Chevrolet’s aveo U-VA is spacious, stylish and has a good VFM(Value For Money). Yet very few U-VA’s move away from the showroom. Just because of much superior swift is here. The present aveo U-VA is build on previous generation kalos. General Motors has unveiled its new aveo(aveo U-VA in india) in the Frankfurt Motor show which replace the ageing kalos and aveo5 in the european market and american market respectively. This new aveo U-VA will be the 2008 avatar of aveo U-VA for the indian market.
2) Two petrol engines for the new 2008 aveo U-VA – a 1.2-litre with 84bhp and a 1.4-litre unit with a power output of 98hp. However the 2008 aveo U-VA in India is expected to be powered by the same engine which powers the current U-VA.
3) According to GM, like all Chevrolets the new aveo U-VA will stand out for its excellent value for money. The 2008 Aveo hatchback sports Chevrolet’s new design features, as characterised by the big horizontally split radiator grille with a body-coloured crossbeam and the brand logo sitting prominently in the center. The dynamic detailing of the 2008 new aveo U-VA includes large, curved clear-glass headlamps and fog lamps that project like spotlights from the lower part of the bumper. The bonnet follows the lines of the radiator grille. Eye-catching contours, which flow from the bonnet to the A-pillar, highlight the sporty look of the 2008 new aveo U-VA
4) In profile 2008 aveo U-VA’s body prominent shoulder lines catch the eye, as does their dynamic beading that sweeps from the front to the rear door. The back of the new aveo U-VA is dominated by the solid bumper and the round tail lamps in a clear-glass housing. Additional indicators in the side sections in front of the exterior mirrors enhance safety.
5) New aveo U-VA’s features modern and high-quality instrument panel which is divided into four chrome-trimmed controls and a centre console with striking air vents, a fully integrated audio unit, and large, user-friendly air-conditioning dials. The smooth plastic surfaces and the soft-touch finish of both the instrument panel and the upper half of the door panel are pleasant to the touch according to General Motors press release.

Will there be any diesel variant in this, i mean the 1.3 L Multijet of Fiat.
That would be a better option.
When will new U-VA 2008 Will Launch
I like the Car but please tell me will it be available in diesel Or CNG and when will it be launched (Month) because i want to book this car.
Yes. It is expected to come with a 1.3 multijet diesel engine from fiat (the same diesel engine that does duty on the swift diesel, but with a different state of tune!). CNG is not on the cards right now. Expect its launch somewhere around April.
Chevrolet Aveo U-VA is a car of classes and not of masses. So there is no CNG or LPG gas version like in WagonR. If they put CNG, that will make an elegant car like Chevrolet look very cheap. At present there is no diesel version of Aveo U-VA. The 2008 Aveo U-VA will come out in January itself (that is what dealers told me). But there might be an increase in prices but so far no info has come out of the company. Space is a great advantage of Aveo U-VA but the drawback which many users have told me is a sloppy gear box. In terms of power, many told me Maruti Swift is better. Some expers say Hyundai Getz is the number one in that segment. But, all said, I bet on U-VA. Aveo U-VA is my choice because of its contemporary Italian looks (design by Guirgiaro Studio), adaption to Indian roads, etc. But like all American auto makers, Chevrolet cars might give engine problems (read maintenance) sooner than other cars, say Japanese, Korean or European. This is my understanding. If I am wrong, please correct me.
I booked the U-va 2 weeks back and the dealer offered to give me the 2008 model. On seeing these photos here i was amazed at what I am gonnna get. But, the 2008 model does not look like what is given in the snap
. 2008 model is the same Aveo U-va 2007.Atleast thats what my dealer said. Even he was shocked when i asked about the changes in the 2008 model.Looks like No official communication from GM. The price hike is about 3k-5k. Any idea when it’ll be launched in India by GM???
Don’t expect This car till 2009…GM is too busy setting up new factories in India due on 2009 and we can expect new cars only then…too bad for us.
I am willing to Aveo U-VA and all ur comments will prove very useful. Bye By.
My Aveo U-VA is a best car and spacious. But when I touch the car the Aveo U-VA gives me a good feeling.I m a small boy. bye bye……….
