Bajaj to launch Pulsar 200cc Fuel Injection and Upgraded Pulsar 220cc

Till October 2008, we have not heard anything big from Bajaj. Bajaj should have come out with a performance especially when Yamaha is surging ahead with YZF R15 and FZ-16. Atleast in the end of 2008 or early 2009, we can expect Bajaj to come back strongly. Yes, Bajaj will do by launching upgraded version of Pulsar 200cc and Pulsar 220cc DTS-FI.
Bajaj Pulsar 200cc FI:
The success of pulsar 200cc is really underrated. Even though you will come across more pulsar 200cc than pulsar 220cc DTS-FI’s the later filled our minds. To further boost the sales of Pulsar 200cc and to take on the new rivals like apache RTR FI, Yamaha FZ-16 and upcoming rivals like TVS apache RTR Menace, Bajaj will equip the 200cc DTSi mill with Fuel Injection technology. Expect satisfying performance and improved fuel economy from new pulsar 200cc FI.
Bajaj’s new Pulsar 220cc DTS-FI:
Unlike the serious upgrade Bajaj would make for the pulsar 200cc, the changes in the pulsar 220cc DTS-FI will be cosmetic. Bajaj’s new pulsar 220cc DTS-FI will embrace the contemporary all black theme adn get new body graphics. New Pulsar 220cc DTS-FI will also get carbon fibre exhaust which will surely improve the masculinity of the pulsar but also unique exhaust beat.
I am eagerly waiting for new Pulsar 220 dtsfi and also Hero Honda Karizma Fi.

i dnt think that,p220 and p200 will beat up yamaha new r15 and fz 16….
coz its not abt cosmetic upgrades…performance..if looks only bother then p220 shud cum out vth…..undercowl,new graphics,slight change in rear ends….
plz plz let me know the date of the launch of upgrades . I planning to buy p200 or may be 220. In a week plz tell me how long to wait. Is this tru.

I have been riding bikes for the last 15 years.. And I wonder what Bajaj (not kawasaki bajaj k-tec motors) bikes have except stylish looks (its again debatable).
The cheap plastics, third rated gear boxes…. they have not yet succeeeded in fixing the pulsar gear boxes.
Instead of launching new models, they should concentrate on improving quality.
They cannot live long by producing cheap bikes (subsidised by their 3 wheeler sales). Bajaj has already slipped to 3rd position in sales in india for the last 2 months. Take note that they have so many models across segments and honda has very few!!!!
Bajaj should soon launch upgraded Pulsar 220 with black theme.

Bajaj what ever the C.C. as censer but one thing that Bajaj Bike are lot of problems my practically view that I purches Pulser 200 cc but the lot of problems then i decided that i purches new Appachy RTR its really good and solve my lots of problems

means..
the Pulser looks physically and muscles greatly…but all they r really useless when it dont have a real heat underhood…
the worse gear boxes,electricals,power trains.build Quality and at most FIT AND FINISH….
i think at last HERO motors are ahead in thier build quality compared to BAJAJ..
so improve your factors not your sales ..u
give the enthusiasts a real bike not a bike with looks…
Why these bajaj people making the automobile market so cheap and unstable by launching n no of bikes in a year …..without quality,fit and finish….
the worst bikes i ever rided so for are all PULSAR s..the worst Gear box, noisy and rugged engine..
compare these worst pulsar s with a HONDA UNICORN or YAMAHA FZ 16 or R 15
they will tell how a bike should manufactured…unmatched fit and finish and quality they r known as BIKES really..
i never thought pulsar as a bike till now..and for god sake i will suggest every of my friends and all to not to buy it waste their valuable money on a useless thing….
they will die for a life span of year or two or hardly they can clock 30000 kms…from then god knows the cost they spend to get it repair …….

I have been using pulsar 150 dtsi for the past 2 years the quality is very bad and the service backup is not up to the customer exceptation I wonder why bajaj is very keen to facelift the existing models moreover the build quality is not good in B segment bikes like pulsar Last six months back i sold off the bike Overall the brand bajaj in two wheeler segment is not upto the standard.

Finaly it is seen that TVS gone be launching Apache 180 with rear disk Brakes…seems to be again copied strategy from Bajaj of P200 upcoming…so that they can take over current launched Bajaj Pulsar 180…and also can compete with new 2009 Pulsar 200…
TVS S**ks…all again by adopting n copying all strategies of BAJAJ PULSAR family so far…!!!!!!!

being the first leading initiator from START itself…Offcourse BAJAJ- PULSAR family etc..
@Nilesh, dude for the gearshift patterns 1-down, 4-up and 1-down, 5-up are standard conventions followed everywhere.. you cannot have a 2-down, 4-up and 4-down 2-up and all those arrangements…
I agree with you, they can launch more bright colours for these models like yellow and orange.. and again adding the 6th gear doesnt really guarantee a power hike or top speed increase.. so whether its there or not wont really matter.
The other additions you suggested must be implemented though
Turbo is absolutely right. You can’t have a 2 down 4 up gear pattern. Suppose if you have that pattern of gear in your bike, then how would you go from neutral to the first gear??????????? So the gear pattern is always 1 down and the rest up or vice versa, or neutral, 1,2,3……

one thing you all keep in mind that Bajaj has killed intentionally current face lifted n most salable bike of Bajaj P200 model, to save the life of P150 n P180 by giving mainly looks of P200, with some advanced feature that comes from P200/P220 respectively.
May be hope that new model of Pulsar 200 is near in future to be launched before Kawaski Ninja-250 launch (the September-October launch) or after 2-3 months later of launch of Ninja.
However it would take,still min 2-3 months more to come see new news on new P200 model.since P220 has been launched just now on 23rd June 2009.
May be Bajaj has planned to launch new Pulsar 200 as per design taken from P300 available details,with mono shock.No doubt one is without Fi(DTS-i)so can come around price of 74-74.5K on road and other with Fi version along with Fi version of 220cc.
[Right now P180(launched on 23rd april 2009) comes around 69K on road which is carbon copy of P200 with extra clip on handlebars,wider forks(taken fro m220) goodies with Battery indicator.only P200 silencer is not provided n so oil cooled.anyway Great / awesome bike n move by Bajaj.
N P220 comes around 78-79K onroad every where : The Fastest Sexy Indian]….Rocks all over India..!!!!

In Pune,
P180 (Power:17 ps- 2009) comes around 69K ON ROAD. n
P220 (Power:21 ps- 2009) comes around 78K ON ROAD.
so there is still scope for “New Pulsar 200? could be launched(with new design as I said) around price tag of 74K-74.5K ON ROAD.
So new P200[with power 19.5 Ps,rear disk brake,wider tyres,monoshock] would be coming in near future/around corner(as Bajaj working with KTM[with above150-250 n higher bikes segment] on it)once the sales figure of P180 n P220 are reached to PEAK.
[especially with/after launch of other companies models like karizmaZMR225/yamaha180-200/apache200 to compete with them and not with it’s current 2009 Own pulsar models)

Hey, all pulsar haiting guys DON’T FUCK WITH PULSAR MAN! Because the bike is DEFINITELY MALE IT WILL annal you …. SO looZers make race with PULSAR . Guys i have one male Definitely Male previous day i made a race with fz16 the big ass lady man , i fired my pulsar in 4th gear. reaching 8500 rpm it on 98 km i shifted to 5th gear reaching 103km there is a big difference between the male and the big ass lady. After reaching 116 km i stop my drag. She too . Then i told to my pal hey man Male’s just BLOWS MAN BUT big ass ladies just pizzs… While seeing males! MINE IS 150 DTS I UG 3 WITH BOSCH 4SPARK PLUGS.

Dude its all a bluff bajaj has phased out p200 … i hav been to a pro biking show room last week they have no idea about new launches of p200dtsfi……………….
bajaj should make such products that should easily get fitted into old model of pulsar, like new handel bar, silencer pipe, FI injections etc. When i got into the showroom to fit a new handel bar of p180 2009 edition, they told me i need to spend 16,000 for the new handel bar. to change a handel bar i’ll need to change the front shockup, without it the new handel bar will not get into the bike.
so i would like to request the production manager to make such products which gets fitted into the old model and if they can’t make it then they don’t make any new model.

bajaj doing one more stupid invention i am telling that they can only make scooters which sucessed they are not suitable to invent bikes like ulsar so i will request bajaj to stop making bikes and move back to scooters. hero honda karizma is king and bajaj could’t compete karizma even if they launch their pathetic pulsar 300.
