Bajaj to launch Discover 100cc on July 27th

As you read it first at vicky.in few days back, Bajaj auto will launch the Discover 100cc soon. However contrary to 12th July, Discover 100cc will hit the market on 27th July. “Our 100 cc ‘Discover’ will compete with Splendor and Passion,” Bajaj Auto two wheeler CEO, S Sridhar said. “We are launching this 100 cc bike with DTS-Si. This 100 cc bike will give a mileage of 80 km per litre and run for 100 km in a day,” he said. Bajaj will commence the production of this bike on July17th.
What this statement means “and run for 100 km in a day”…well Bajaj claims 108 for XCD (DTS Si engine)having 125 cc engine…now 100 cc (DTS Si engine) claims to be a 80 km…doesn’t understand the logic behind this?
Bajaj has GONE MAD!!
They had announced earlier that will be launching a new motorcycle each month for 6 months beginning January 2009 but till now none of them is actually a new bike!! All of them are mere cosmetic version of existing models. But they don’t understand that this will not help them in boosting sales. People want new models and latest designs.

Well ,I think that launching a 100 cc discover is a very sensible decision from bajaj. Now talking about 100 cc, the Platina is a passe’. So revamping it with the discover is a great idea,Now what i think is that Bajaj will cease on the Platina once the Market is on with Discover.And anyways it is a better option than the sluggish Platina.
Bajaj has to improvice more in ther modals. but it is ok with discover 100 cc .. because it looks good and iam using it .. so far no trouble in the bike..and good mileage
i purchased a
100 cc discover . but it gives only average of 55 kms/ltr.

It gives 66KMPL in the city traffic. It is much worth for its cost. Compared to Hero honda bikes like splenedor and passion pro or plus, this is very good and having trip meter, nitrox suspension, auto choke, 5gears and super lights from the Head lamp and also with seft start.
And also 4 thousand rupees less, compared to HH with 100 cc segment
It is strong and sturdy with ride control switch. It is a Big bike for big guys……not for small guys
