As we reported you earlier, Bajaj is making a low cost bike called ‘steel’ to change it fortunes. Bajaj which has been vying to pull away 100cc customers from market leader Hero Honda bets on this platform to achieve that. Bajaj earlier tried with the XCD platform but failed to do that. Coming to the low cost bike, this new bike (rumoured to be named as steel) is being produced by Bajaj in association with Chinese makers to keep the price low. Bajaj is expected to brand this bike under a separate brand.
From the pictures, Bajaj low cost bike steel is a no frill budget machine with decade old styling. It inherits the defunct Boxer styling with round headlamps and round rear view mirrors. The flat tank with no recess and flat seats are remiscent of chinese make .We seen it first in the Xenitis 125cc Xpression now Bajaj seems to be toeing the same line. Thankfully the low cost bike steel have telescopic forks at the front and spring suspension at the rear. The bike (Steel) is expected to be priced around Rs25000. Mouthwatering isn’t it?? Steel will target the rural market where Bajaj relatively has lesser reach. Whether the Bajaj’s new strategy will work and make the Indian bike maker to again top the sales charts! time will tell.. what’s your say?? can Bajaj make it.

Who is craving for a dump vehicle like this when you get a better HH for 10 Grands more.
People are no more looking at to buy any crap available for cheaper prices. People have tasted quality at reasonable prices.
