Finally, Bajaj officially announced the launch date for Ninja 250. But don’t jump to the skies coz unlike previously stated Bajaj now says that the Kawasaki Ninja will not be assembled in India and will be imported as CBU (Completely Built Unit) which means this price will go up significantly. Expect the price of Ninja 250 to be upwards of Rs2 lakh, “The Kawasaki Ninja 250 will be launched soon by May or June and was likely to be priced above Rs 2 lakh,” Mr Rajiv Bajaj, the company’s Managing Director, said. “While the Kawasaki Ninja will be introduced as a completely-built unit, we will assemble KTM’s bigger bikes, like the Duke and RR, at our Chakan facility” he added.

all i can say is that this is probably”too little too late” to help the sinking ship{bajaj} considering the fact that yamaha and honda will be bringing there big boys to india soon

The Ninja will be ‘introduced’ as a CBU. The first 600 pieces will be imported as CBUs, at a price tag of around 2.5 lakhs. Later, Bajaj will localize the parts&import only the engine&gearbox assembly from Kawasaki. This will cause the price to go down to about 1.6 lakhs. Expect this in 2010!

Actual price in us is around 3999$, which comes to 192K INR.
If you add minimum charges then also it will come upto around 2.5L .
as people said it will be imported as CBU, in that case the price should be much more higher.

am desperately waiting for “k”Ninja As I have sold my Pulsar 220 and longing to ride my dream Bike before this Puja festival.I will be grateful to Mr.Bajaj for introducing k Ninja in India.My hands are itching and my ear is dying to hear it sporty sound Vrooooooooooom!

I am so excited about ninja 250cc to be lunched in India, recently i had R15 which i have sold and got 220cc pulser just to get used to with bigger engine, till ninja come out! i am looking forward to riding ninja through out the hills of Darjeeling and Sikkim.
