Documents from the Dealer at the time of Bike Purchase II

5. Owner’s Manual. This will contain a booklet with details of the vehicle delivery, the bike dealer’s seal and initial by staff.

6. Free Service Coupons and the number of free coupons differ based on the bike maker. Ensure, all the free service coupons are filled with date of purchase and dealer seal, or else they may be invalid.

7. Battery Warranty Card with the date of purchase and date of expiry of warranty

8. Some dealers give goodies like Key chains, free petrol (say 2 litres) coupons and more. In case, the dealer forgets, just remind them gently.

9. If you opt for extended warranty for the bike, you will get a Waranty card too. This will help in case you make claims of parts that are covered under this warranty as mentioned inside this booklet by the manufacturer.

We suggest you to go an hour before the vehicle’s delivery time mentioned by the dealer, in order to relax yourself in signing all the relevant forms and in ensuring you have been given all the relevant papers during your bike purchase!

hmm very nice information vicky……..i would like to add a point here — riders can also get their Green card made…if you have a green card u will only have to carry your license with it..no need to carry RC and insurance papers….

  2. Vikram says:

From pune RTO website it seems that we keeping original documents is mandatory. Please see Question 11 from below site –

    http://www.rtopune.info/faqs.htm

Is there any other legal website which says keeping xerox is allowed?

  3. Faiz says:

How do you get ur green card made?

  4. Rajan says:

I recall There is no Green Card, What people say in Banglaore is Masterpass you get it for rs.200 around. [ They will mention owner name with DL number and photo ] There by Travelling in and around state you donot need to carry your RC book.

But as per MV act : Vehicle insurance , PU certificiate , DL , ( Intrem TAX paid recipt if you own other state vehicle if appliciable ) , RC book copy . Now RC book is cancelled you get SMART CARD , There by you are suppose to Carry SMart Card in BLR they use Blackberry to track or handle the vehicle records.

Still RTO from Central should give more reforms like 2 Wheelers and open vehicles like Auto / Jeeps Having orig Documents in vehicle is risk for owners. In case of loss of documents more and more head ache. [ I Feel Vehicle Manufacturers Embbed RFID Chip in Each vehicle Frame ] Can be inside Battery Compartment Side or Engine Block end and Hand held devices should be in position to read the data. Which helps vehicle owners only to carry DL/ UID card etc.

It is Shame For Several Software Techie From India since they donot work for India and Indian People. Technology should come up in Better way there by There is no need of RTO at all. Vehicle Manufactuerr / Dealers should have control over the Vehicle . As owner of Vehicle just to get DL from RTO. [ Which means RTO overload can be controlled ] Note every vehicle Idiot Machine means Only owner or the Drivers / Riders handle the vehicle.
When the vehilce is given by Acutal owner they should know to whom vehicle is given eg. Governemnt vehicles / Public transport etc. When they enggage drivers they will have track of them which is the better way. Any how in case of any incident vehicle owners are notified first then only the vehicle drivers.

We pay only money to Imported technology. Indian Technology like Bribe channel also to be given awards. Means the Top most bribed caught personals also should be honoured.

  5. Rajan says:

Pretty old Technology is much better means VEhicle Road TAX copy to be hanged in Vehicle or should be carried. There by Concept of LTT should be made optional. and when RTO says Insurance is Mandatory then They can just abolish Road TAX when Insurance is renewed relavent amoutn to use the vehicle in multiple state can be integrated for private vehicle owners only.

Any how public vehicle Roac tax and Per Seat Permit etc all different.

  6. Rajan says:

Still Indian Governemtn need IAS and IPS officers not a MBA There in all MBA are Behind outside India money. There should be Greater re-formation in RTO system , Indians Who have done MBA should should give Public Friendley and Easy and hassle free method of Technology and Office Management for Indian Transport Department . [ Atleast they should put thier efforts to serve Public that to Effective and cheaper methods of Vehicle management ]

To handle this there several IPS and IAS offiers should be moved out of Governemtn and MBA should be given postiong.

I agree with the statement that unlike China, who have their own fleet of hackers and software experts, Indian engineers are only a meagre shadow of the Chinese. In China, some people were only facing problems to download an outside application in their iPhone, and to resolve it, the Chinese brought out new firmware jailbreaking softwares to hack the iPhone.
That was a premium requirement, but in India, even a basic requirement of owning a permit or license to drive a vehicle in the country is a “mind-goes-mad” transaction. Indian techies must have built or invented online softwares that might be utilized by a common man for such issues. Even if we own an “INDIAN UNION DRIVING LICENSE,” we still confront problems to drive vehicle in other states. Duh! Being treated as an outsider in our own country!
Hopefully, some techies, even if not a hacker, can create an user-friendly software of platform, which would be useful to common people for driving their vehicle across the country, in a hassle-free way.
