Process To Transfer Ownership of Motor Vehicle :

Application in Form 29 (in duplicate) and 30 (in duplicate if the vehicle in held under hypothecation) along with:

1) Certificate of Registration.
2) Certificate of Insurance.
3) Proof of Residence
4) Valid PUC Certificate
Disposal : Within Five days(within Daman & Diu) from the date of payment .

2) Motor Cycle : Rs.30.00
3) Light Motor Vehicle : Rs.100.00
4) Light Commercial Vehicle : Rs.150.00
5) Medium Goods Vehicle : Rs.200.00
6) Medium Passenger Motor Vehicle : Rs.200.00
7) Heavy Goods Vehicle : Rs.300.00
8) Heavy passenger Vehicle : Rs.300.00
9) Imported Passenger Vehicle : Rs.400.00
10) Imported Motor Cycle : Rs.100.00

Process For An Assignment of New Registration Mark :

Application for assignment of registration marks in Form 27 along with :

• Proof of residence.
• Declaration in Form FT.
• Certificate of insurance
• PUC
• NOC obtaining from previous RTO
• Form 29-30 or 33 as the case may be

Disposal :

Within Five days from the receipt of confirmation from concerned RTO.

Imported Motor Cycle : Rs.200.00

Process To Obtain No Objection Certificate :

Form No. 28 (in triplicate) along with :

• Certificate of registration.
• Copy of the certificate of insurance.
• Evidence of payment of motor vehicle tax upto date
• Valid PUC Certificate

In case of a transport vehicle, in addition of the above documents documentary evidence may be furnished:

• That the vehicle is not covered by any permit
• Sum of money agreed upon to be paid by the holder of the permit under sub-section (5) and (6) of Section 86, if any no pending recovery.
• Evidence of payment to tax on passenger and goods.
• On receipt of such application, a report will be obtained from Police Department that no case relating to the theft of motor vehicle concerned has been reported or is pending as required under sub section (5) of Section 48 of Motor Vehicles. Act, 1988.

Disposal :

Within Five days from the receipt of police clearance.

Process To Change Residence :

Form 33 along with an application for recording a change in the residence in the certificate of registration of a motor vehicle and certificate of registration, PUC, Insurance Certificate and proof of residence.

Disposal :

Within Three Days (Within Daman & Diu).
Fees Payable : Rs. 20
