TVS Scooters is considered to be the most lovable scooter manufacturer of Indian market whose vehicles are impressed by both male and female consumers. The company has introduced lot of scooters such as TVS Scooty, TVS Scooty Pep, TVS Scooty Streak, TVS Scooty Pep Plus, TVS Wego and many more but recently it launched its new vehicle known as TVS Jupiter which would be a tough competitor to its similar other two wheelers. The TVS Jupiter is available in only one variant TVS Jupiter standard and the price of TVS Jupiter is found to be approximately Rs.44200 which makes easy even for the middle class people to buy the scooter.

Design and Style

The TVS Jupiter comes with a new design language which looks really stylish and awesome. The front part of the scooter has a large headlight and the turn indicators on either side provide a mature appearance. The front is fitted with a twin pilot lamps which is really helpful while riding in early morning or evening, foggy weather or during rain offering clear visibility and command style. The vehicle possess an unique-pass by switch which is the first time fixed in scooters gives more safe on highways or no-horn zones. The scooter has a largest leg space and it is possible to keep many things at the front such as LPG cylinder in horizontal position which is really useful. TVS Jupiter Engine Details

The TVS Jupiter is blessed with very flexible and tested engine and the company has performed safe hands in designing the engine. The Jupiter features a single cylinder, 4 stroke, air cooled OHC petrol engine which gives the displacement very close to 109.7 cc. The engine of Jupiter delivers the maximum power output of 5.88 KW @ 7500 RPM in coupling with the maximum torque output of 8 NM @ 5500 RPM. The scooter is well incorporated with the Digital IDI with Ignition Map technology which is quite good and it possess both kick & electric start option helps easy to opt as per the rider’s wish. The engine is mated with a primary CVT and secondary gear box transmission which helps in easy and smooth ride.

TVS Jupiter Performance

Since the Jupiter engine comes with the Digital IDI with Ignition Map Technology and V-matic transmission, it provides a decent acceleration and pick up. The performance of the scooter is excellent in which it can accelerate from 0-60 km in just 7.2 seconds and the maximum speed offered by the scooter is nearly 90 kmph.

TVS Jupiter Mileage

The fuel efficiency is an important factor for any buyer expects from a scooter and TVS always scores good over that. The TVS claims that the new Jupiter would deliver a decent fuel efficiency with the fuel tank capacity of 5 litres. The vehicle is well equipped with a viscous paper air filter which is really helpful. The scooter can be able to generate an average healthy mileage of about 62 kmpl on all road conditions which is really impressive while compared to its rivals.

Braking and Handling

Like Wego, the Jupiter is also packed with an excellent chassis flexibility and simple handling which is an unique feature of the scooter. The frame of the Jupiter comes with a high rigidity underbone type with decent set of braking and handling features. The vehicle has 130 mm drum brakes at both front and rear which gives sudden halt while going in fast manner without any danger. The longer wheelbase of 1275 mm and minimum ground clearance of 150 mm helps the scooter to offer a stable and pliant ride experience. The saddle of Jupiter is large, wide and well cushioned which is made up of anti-skid material improving the seating arrangement of both rider and pillion.

TVS Jupiter Safety Features

The TVS Jupiter is fitted with lot of safety features which provides a hassle free ride experience. The TVS Jupiter is packed with good suspension system which gives more safety and security to both rider and pillion. It has an advanced front telescopic suspension system and the rear suspension is of hydraulic type along with gas filled suspension which is quite outstanding. The tyres also gives an excellent road grip enhancing the safety feature. The vehicle has been designed with a tubeless tire of size 90/90-12 at both front and rear. Apart from that, the scooter is equipped with a Halogen Multi-reflector type headlight of 12V 35/35W and tail lamp of 12V 2W/1.5W LED as well as 12V – 10W Multi-reflector clear lens turn signal lamp which is really helpful while riding at night time and even bad weather conditions. In addition to all, the Jupiter has a 12V, 5 Ah flooded battery useful for starting the scooter.
