Renault Fluence 2014 Review
Renault has recently introduced its mid-cycle style four wheeler known as Fluence 2014 at the Auto Expo Event, 2014. The car comes with lot of modifications over both interiors and exteriors which looks really good. The price of Renault Fluence 2014 ranges between Rs.13,62,000 – Rs.15,22,000 respectively depending on the variants.

Along with that, the car provides the wheelbase of 2703 mm and ground clearance of 168 mm. The fuel tank of the capacity of the Renault Fluence is found to be around 67 litres.
Engine Specification and Fuel Efficiency
The Renault Fluence 2014 is provided with a diesel engine option only which is powered by a 1.5 litre 4 cylinder k9k Direct Injection engine with a displacement very close to 1461cc. The diesel engine generates the maximum power output of 108 BHP @ 4000 RPM in combination with the maximum torque output of 240 NM @ 1850 RPM. The engine is mated with a six speed gears with manual transmission and dual clutch type which enhances the ride. The Renault Fluence 2014 is expected to deliver a healthy mileage of around 20.4 kmpl on both city and highway roads.
Exteriors and Interiors
The Renault Fluence comes with an updated front facia which is different from other cars. The front has a wider grille which is integrated into the headlights with a large bold Renault logo at the centre where as the bumper has been totally refined. The side and rear profile of the car remains the same with a little changes over it. The bright and redesigned headlight and day time running lights offers the car a fresh look. Below the large rectangular lower grille, front fog lamps are attached looking like a smiling face of a human being. It is fitted with an electrically powered ORVMs in body color and silver finish door handles. Moving to the rear side of the car, it is more aggressive compared to the front with a tail light with turn signal lamp and elegant boot gate.
Talking about the interiors, the Renault Fluence comes with a new instrument cluster and new 3D multimedia system. The new system comes with a touch screen display and can be operated with voice commands. The vehicle consists of a telescopic steering with mounted controls, Bluetooth connectivity, rear parking sensors etc. For better convenience to both driver and passengers, the car is equipped with a dual zone AC controls, cruise control, rear AC vents and many more. In order to enhance the safety features of the new Fluence 2014, it has an advanced braking technology known as AntiLock Braking System with ESP, Brake Assist, ASR, rain sensing wipers, dusk sensing projector headlamps, dual airbags, seat belts with pre-tensioner and force limiter. Overall, the Renault Fluence 2014 comes with an unmatched features and advanced options along with spacious interiors and decent mileage.
Braking and Handling
The Renault Fluence is well incorporated with good braking and suspension mechanisms in which the front suspension is of McPherson type with coil spring, stabilizer bar and double acting shock absorber where as the rear suspension is of trailing arm type with coil spring and double acting shock absorber. The car gets an electric variable steering type for proportional speed which is quite outstanding. Both front and rear brakes are of disc type in the Renault Fluence 2014. The vehicle is fitted with a 16” alloy wheels of tire size 205/60 R16 for better road gripness.
I am having the Renault Fluence and have purchased recently. I am very much impressed with its elegant exterior appearance with an affordable cost. I could not find any knocking sound or engine rattle even at idle stage. While driving, I got a mileage of around 23 kmpl and what else we need from such a big car. Ride quality of the car is too good and it is best value for money.
Hi everybody, me 2 using the Renault Fluence for few months. I think this car is something new for me and it is really unique on the road and catches attention of the traffic. It is really very comfortable car and it is best suited for the family consisting of four members. It has great pick up and excellent mileage. According to me, it would be liked by all people and it is a brilliant one to ride in but the company should planned to bring more color choices which would be better.
I dont find such a poor service from Renault. Actually I am one of the owner of Renault Fluence and got a break problem and gave my vehicle to the Mangalore service station. They informed that the drum has to be replaced very soon and it would take more than two weeks to get the equipments. As well as the ABS system has also some problem and it would take more than three weeks and almost I could be able to get the car after 1 month. I found that the problem is not the drum or ABS but they are not able to identify the problem since they have poor trained employees. Eventhough I had called to Head Office at Chennai but they are not giving any proper response. I was very much irritated with this problem. So friends dont buy the vehicle and pls go for other brand except Renault.
Without considering my family and friends comments, I had gone for Renault Fluence but from the beginning of the purchase to till now I had a quarrel with my wife while going out for this car. My kind advice is that before buying a car, it should be test drived atleast twice especially Fluence. The only good thing i found from the car is good cruise control but it wont satisfies other problems. And the accelerator responsive is very very poor and it makes me very irritating. Particularly while we are moving very fast, the handle become hard and unsafe. While talking about the interiors, it spreads a very bad smell because the interior materials used are not high quality. For me, it is merely a waste of money.
