Nissan has launched its new car Sunny on September 20, 2011 in petrol engine option and the diesel model was launched on 12th December 2011. The colours of Nissan sunny available for all the variants includes Brick Red, Storm White, Sapphire Blue, Bronze Grey, Onyx Black, Blade Silver etc. The diesel variants of Nissan Sunny includes
1) Nissan Sunny Diesel XL
2) Nissan Sunny Diesel XV
3) Nissan Sunny Diesel Special Edition
The diesel variant of Sunny is powered by a K9K, 4 cylinder engine which gives a displacement of 1461 cc. This SOHC, 8 valves engine delivers the maximum power of 86 PS @ 3750 RPM and maximum torque of 200 NM @ 2000 RPM. The engine of the car is mated with a proficient five speed manual transmission gear box. The engine of sunny offers good low end power, smooth revving and balanced drive. It comes with a fuel efficiency of 21.64 kmpl which is apt for both city drive and on highways roads. Both interiors and exteriors are really good and impressive.
Nissan Sunny Diesel XL is the base variant and it is very light which is well equipped with a tire size of 185/70 R14 and total kerb weight of the car is nearly 1092 kg. On the other hand, Sunny Diesel XV is the top end variant with some comfortable features such as alloy wheels, electric folding ORVMs, chrome on inside door handles, temperature display, door trim fabric, armrest finish, intelligent key with push button start and fog lamps etc. This variant is little bigger while compared to the base variant and it is measured as 1097 kg and the tire size is 185/65 R15. The final variant Sunny Diesel Special Edition comes with some minor changes which offers a rich look to the vehicle. Some of the features packed with the vehicle includes body coloured side moldings, a chrome plated trunk detailing, boot lid spoiler etc. While talking about the comfortness, the car gets a new leather upholstery, touch screen kenwood infotainment along with DVDs, USB port, AUX-In interface, Bluetooth connectivity and many more.
Moving to the braking and handling, the car is incorporated with front disc and rear drum brake along with the advanced braking technology of Anti-Locking Braking System with Electronic Brake Force Distribution and Brake Assist which helps in ultimate braking power and response. It is fitted with front McPherson Strut and rear torsion beam along with stabilizer bar for comfortable driving. I bought a Nissan Sunny Diesel just two weeks ago and done approximately 1000 kms. The vehicle looks very good both interiors and exteriors. It offers a feel of luxury segment car such as Toyota Corolla, Skoda Laura. Its interior space is very huge with enough leg room, shoulder room, head room. It would be suitable even for tallest persons for comfortable seating arrangement. The interior features gives the driver a rich feel to him. Engine performance is undoubtedly good in terms of power, torque and fuel efficiency. The riding quality and handling of the vehicle is very fine. Overall, I felt very satisfied with the car for my hard earned money.
My vehicle is Nissan Sunny Diesel and it has lot of issues. One of the important drawback is starting trouble . Even if i stopped for five minutes and if we start it, the car would not be started. I took the car to the service center and informed about the issue. The technician checked the vehicle and could not able to find the problem which is a shameful issue. I gave it for complete service but while they returned the car I found the problem again and again. So Nissan Sunny Diesel is the worst choice of car selection.
I have bought a Nissan Sunny Diesel for office usage and later found it is merely a waste of money. I have wasted my precious money and so think twice before buying a car. The vehicle has lot of disadvantages which includes 1) not suited for highways 2) noisy engine 3) vibration at a higher level of speed 4) worst braking system 5) low ground clearance 6) bad suspensions etc. I was totally disappointed with the vehicle.
