Hyundai i20 Updates
November 10,2010 - Hyundai Motor India,the second largest car maker in the country introduced a GPS-based Audio Visual Navigation (AVN) system as an additional feature for i20. With this additional feature,it was priced around 6.3 lacs.The AVN system holds a 5-inch LCD display and a touch-screen interface with satellite-based voice-guided navigation. It carries the details about locations, route options, the nearest Hyundai touch points, restaurants, hotels, hospitals and malls. Voice prompts are also available in more 12 languages, including eight Indian languages. It also features complete in-car entertainment and connectivity features such as video player and in-built Bluetooth with audio streaming.
April 7,2010 - Hyundai Motor India Ltd.,(HMIL) launched two new variants of i20 viz the Era and the Sportz in both petrol and diesel versions.The first hatchback car to be fitted with six speed manual transmission gearbox in the Indian auto market is the Hyundai i20.The base variant of i20 among the two new variants is the Era.Its attractive features are Fully Automatic Temperature Control (FATC) system and in-built USB port (in Magna),burglar alarm, steering wheel with audio remote and passenger vanity mirror (in Sportz and Asta).
December 29,2008 - Hyundai Motor India Ltd.,(HMIL) launched its premium hatchback i20 in three variants at a price tag of Rs.4.80 lakh-Rs.5.82 lakh in the ex-showroom, Delhi.The five-door i20 features a new generation 1.2 litre Kappa petrol engine offering a maximum power of 80PS.It is Euro V ready and meets all the existing emission norms.

Hyundai i20 is the first hatchback car to be packed with six speed manual transmission gearbox in it in the Indian auto market.It is available in both petrol and diesel options having a number of variants.Its petrol variants feature five speed manual transmission and six speed manual transmission is featured by its diesel variants.Two of its petrol variants namely 1.4 Asta and 1.4 Asta (O) is powered by four speed automatic transmission.The spacious i20 offers a stylish look and its variants are 1.2 Era,1.2 Magna,1.2 Sportz,1.2 Asta,1.2 Asta (O),1.4 Asta A/T,1.4 Asta (O) AT,1.4 CRDI Era,1.4 CRDI Magna,1.4 CRDI Sportz,1.4 CRDI Asta and finally 1.4 CRDI Asta (O).

Hyundai i20 is defined with a wide stance and a prominent nose that really makes it aggressive.The stability of its shape is added by the strong character lines which are present on its flanks.The large fog lamps found in the prominent blisters on its lower bumper is its another outstanding exterior feature.It has a very good quality of design and it features stubby door handles that offers smooth opening and closing of doors.These all features of i20 makes it long-lasting.Interiors
i20 is a spacious car with decent accommodation in the front side and holds a good range of seats and steering column adjustments. Its interior has a seating capacity of five members and its boot capacity is 295 litres which is comparatively higher than i10.The centre console of i20 features electronic climate control and an integrated music system with steering-mounted controls. It also holds the features of flat load area,wide tailgate aperture ,60:40 split rear seats, lots of cubbyholes,etc., Its special feature is that it has one of the largest cooled glovebox in it.Its Asta version has six airbags, seatbelt warning lights for all five passengers and electric folding rear view mirrors. The Asta also has USB connectivity, in addition to an auxiliary port for iPod or MP3 device. A multi-information display on the dash tells us the outside temperature, time, day and date, and also journey information.

Hyundai i20 is available in both petrol and diesel engine options.It features a 1.4 litre CRDI diesel engine that generates a power of 90 PS and has a displacement of 1396cc.It is packed with six Speed Manual Transmission gearbox.Its 1.2 litre Kappa Petrol engine packed with five Speed Manual Transmission,delivers a power of 80 PS and has a displacement of 1197cc.Likewise,i20’s petrol variants 1.4 Asta and 1.4 Asta (O) are featured by a 1.4 litre Gamma engine packed with four Speed Automatic Transmission.It also holds a displacement of 1396cc and offers a power of 100 PS.Regarding Mileage,the 1.4 CRDI diesel engine offers an i20 mileage of 21kmpl.Similarly,the 1.2 Kappa engine offers 18kmpl and the 1.4 Gamma engine offers a mileage of 15kmpl
Fuel Economy
The highly powerful engines of Hyundai i20 features a very good fuel efficiency.The pretty fuel efficient car as 1.2 petrol variant accurately offers 11kpl on the city and 15kpl on the highway and has a tank capacity of 45 litres.

It is loaded with a dash 2 DIN MP3 Music system with 4 Speaker and 2 tweeter attached to it.Its accessories feature audio inputs – Auxiliary and USB and steering mounted audio controls.

i20 Magna holds some additional features when compared to i20 Era such as Body Colored ORVMs, Fabric Upholestry, Rear Parcel Tray, Rear Defogger with Timer, Tilt and Telescopic Steering, Glove Box Cooling, Luggage Lamp, and Rear Power Windows.
