Design of CB 1000R

Honda has introduced a number of naked bikes in which the CB 1000R has been designed in a slim and lightweight proportion. This sporty bike comes with the latest technology and the headlamp is very special to the bike. The headlamp is of V shaped with no windscreen and small cowl and the bike possess a LED lamps with clear lens indicators. The bike has a short tail cowl and forward tilted fuel tank along with side cowls. The minimal panels and gas tank of the CB 1000R are really perfect which proves to be the best in a motorcycle. The bike is furnished with a centre console of all in digital mode and the LCD display shows tripmeter, fuel guage, speed and tachometer. The fuel tank of the bike with a 3D classy badge of Honda is very large mounted upto the handlebars and the black coloured rear view mirrors are also mounted on the handle bar which improves the style. In order to give the CB 1000R a high-tech appearance, it consists of a magnesium head, ACG covers and natural finish aluminium pivot plates. Moving to the seating arrangements, the bike is fitted with eCushion type seats which is really comfortable and luxurious. The rider seat is large where as the pillion’s seat is of little short which is raised. The Honda CB 1000R comes with the exhaust system with mixing of chrome treatments and nickel plated bolt heads which is really appreciable. The rear end has a LED tail light, extended rear fender and wide tire at the back. The CB 1000R sports a large tire of size 120/70-Z R17 at the front and 180/55-ZR17 at the back. These wide tyres with four spoke alloy wheels offers excellent road grip and control.

The dimensions of the Honda CB 1000R includes a length of 2090 mm, a width of 775 mm and height of 1090 mm respectively. The bike offers the wheelbase of about 1445 mm and ground clearance of nearly 130 mm.

Honda CB1000R Engine

Honda CB 1000R is powered by a liquid, 4-Stroke, 16-Valve, DOHC inline 4 mill engine with a displacement of 998 cc. This excellent engine churns out the maximum power of 92 KW @ 10000 RPM in coupling with the maximum torque of 100 NM @ 8000 RPM along with the six speed gearbox transmission. The CB 1000R has only electric start with a computer controlled digital transistorized ignition system.

Acceleration and Mileage

The Honda CB 1000R specifications represents the high quality of acceleration and performance. The bike can reach 0-60 kmph in just 3.8 seconds which is really impressive and the maximum speed generated by the bike is nearly 225 kmph. This CB 1000R is well suited for Indian road conditions and the mileage is not a problem in this bike. The new bike can generate a healthy mileage of around 16 kmpl. The fuel tank capacity of the bike is of 17 litres and 4 litres reserve which is shown on the LCD indicator on the dashboard.

Brakes and Suspensions

The CB 1000R has a superb and world class braking and suspension system in which the front brake comes with a dual hydraulic disc with 4-piston caliper, floating rotors with the dimension of 320x4.5 mm. Likewise, the rear brake is of dual hydraulic disc with single piston caliper of dimension 265x5 mm. On the other hand, the bike has a flawless suspension system in which the front suspension comes with 43 mm inverted telescopic forks with 120mm cushion stroke which is really good while riding at high speeds. Similarly, the rear suspension is of gas filled mono shock absorber. Along with that, it has an advanced braking system of AntiLock Braking System which is good at controlling the bike.

Safety Features

The Honda CB 1000R comes with awesome safety features in which the bike possess bright, radiant and powerful headlight which gives more visibility while riding at night time. The bike has an advanced Antilock Braking System which is really helpful even at slippery roads. In addition, the bike comes with an inverted HMAS cartridge of 43mm at the front and Monoshock gas charged HMAS damper at the rear.
