The Aviator comes with a slogan of “Live Your Style”. The new scooter provides a distinctive style, a comfortable ride, good performance along with ample storage. The Aviator has been designed with new Honda Eco Technology which assures better mileage and fuel efficiency.

Design and Style

Honda Aviator is one of the tallest scooter compared to other similar manufacturers which looks very smart and stylish providing bird-like design. The front panel of the scooter is really attractive and the front fender is very beaky. The scooter gets a blingy chrome panel in the deluxe model adding more style to the vehicle. The rear body panel comes with muscular lines sweeping upwards with an end of nicely sculpted rear lamp cluster. It has a turn indicator which offers the entire cluster an elegant appearance. The Aviator has a centre console packed with big and clear dials. The analogue speedometer and fuel gauge of Aviator are crystal clear and easy to read, and the fuel, oil and battery indicators can all be read at a glance. The switch gear is derived from the existing Honda scooters and fit and finish all around the Aviator is too good. The body color grab handle, front mudguard and side panel of the scooter enhances the character. Coming to the seating position, the Aviator gets a comfortable, upright seating which is very compact and it gives more confidence while riding along. Since the seats are of cushion type, it gives more comfortable for long and short journeys to both rider and pillion. The foot pegs and foot rests are also quite outstanding. The under seat storage capacity of the Aviator is of 20 litres which is easy to fit a helmet or bag. The scooter has been designed with an alloy wheels in which the front is of 12 inch while the rear is 10 inch. The tire size of the front wheel is 90/90-12 54J whereas the rear wheel size is of 90/100-10 53J. The big size of the tire is expected to provide greater control on roads and it reduces the rate of skidding as well as puncture.

Dimensions of Honda Aviator

The dimensions of the Honda Aviator is really good in which the total length of the scooter is of 1802 mm, width is 697 mm for DLX and 703 mm for STD and the height is of 1162 mm. The Aviator delivers the ground clearance of 145 mm and the wheelbase is measured as 1256 mm. The height of the seat is measured as 790 mm and the kerb weight of the scooter is of 102.30 kg.

Engine , Acceleration and Mileage

Honda Aviator is fitted with a very powerful four stroke OHC valve configuration engine with VMatic Transmission giving smoother gear shifting and it generates less vibration and noises even at high speed. This power packed engine offers the displacement very close to 109 cc. The scooter generates the maximum power of 8 BHP @ 8000 RPM in combination with the maximum torque of 0.9 Kgm @ 5500 RPM. Along with that, the scooter is incorporated with the new Honda Eco Technology which uses reduced weight and optimized parts in order to minimize the friction and boost mileage. The fuel tank capacity of the Aviator is of 6 litres. The Aviator boasts self and kick start option which is easy while starting the scooter. The company claims that the scooter would provide a decent mileage around 67 kmpl which is really amazing. With its powerful engine and lightweight body, Honda Aviator can offer excellent acceleration in which it can touch 0-60 kmph in just 11 seconds with the maximum speed of 85kmph which is a bit speedier than the Activa.

Brakes and Suspension System

The Honda Aviator is very easy to ride and handle with its awesome braking and suspension system. The Aviator Deluxe sports a 130 mm drum or 190 mm disc brake at the front wheels while the rear wheels are having 130 mm drum brake. Similarly, the Aviator Standard is well equipped with 130 mm drum brakes on the front and rear. These brakes are really responsive and stable even while travelling at high speed or carrying some large goods. The scooter has telescopic suspension at the front and unit swing spring loaded hydraulic damper suspension at the rear. These suspensions are very effective which enhances the quality and comfort of the ride offering better control, stability, lower vibration even riding at high speeds.

Aviator Safety Features

For better safety, the Honda Aviator sports a multi-focal headlamp with a 35 watt halogen lamp which gives more visibility. The scooter is fitted with the Honda tuff-up tubes which is really helpful in reducing the chance of tire punctures and it is a great disappointment of lacking an advanced locking system.
