Mercedes SLS roadster spied

Mercedes’ SLS roadster does not have the gullwing doors of its coupe brother.

It is anticipated to come with a retractable soft-top roof akin to that observed in the newly revealed E-class cabriolet. And the SLS roadster will be motorized by the similar 563bhp/479lb ft 6.2-litre V8 as the coupe.

Also an electric version is being developed. Moreover, it is likely to reach 0-62mph time of about four seconds, up from the coupe’s 3.8sec because of the roof mechanism and the additional body intensification.

Compared to the coupe, the prices are anticipated to be 10 per cent higher and starting at about £165,000. In the middle of the year 2011, the car is expected to get released.
