Nissan Qashqai facelift revealed

The facelifted Nissan Qashqai and Qashqai+2 will be entering into the sale in the month of March 2010.

Some additional kit is available in the revised car and purchasers will have to give an additional 2.5 per cent VAT and as an upshot, the starting price of the base model will increase by £900.

The ride of the revised Qashqai has been tweaked towards ease and responsiveness, says Nissan. And it has included more insulation material to guard against noise and vibration, and the front window seal is altered to decrease noise.

A restyled front end, new bonnet, front bumper, wings, grille and headlamps are the exterior alterations that are made. Adding the rear is not altered much and saves for an aerodynamic twist to decrease drag and revised light lenses.

In the inside section, the dials have been modified so that they are easier to read and footwell lights have been included with extra storage.

Further, two new red and grey colour variants will be included to the range and the purchasers can go for for new alloy designs.

Pure Drive is the new eco version of the car that has been included to the range. Moreover it is motorized by the 1.5-litre diesel engine used elsewhere in the Qashqai range, the Pure Drive is lighter and more aerodynamic, decreasing CO2 emissions from 137g/km to 129g/km.

Also it costs £16,795 – £100 less than the alike engined and typical car.
