Swift hybrid unveiled in Tokyo

The Swift plug-in hybrid has shown off by Suzuki at the Tokyo motor show.

For short, low speed journeys the Swift uses its electric motor. Adding, the petrol engine will then be used as a generator and hence while moving it will charge the batteries.

Moreover, the Swift Hybrid will be connectible to mains electricity from a standard household socket, eventhough no performance, economy or fuel consumption figures have been provided.
