The Land Rover Company has placed plans for a seven-seat Freelander on hold since it is focusing on executing its new business plan that calls for sales to increase to about 200,000.
Adding, it is expected in the year 2010 and as Land Rover was setting up to show a concept of the car, codenamed L486. It is also said that it has got delayed.
As an alternative, the company will focus on the development of the LRX that will be released as a £30,000 Range Rover in the year 2012.
Moreover, the Land Rover Company has been functioning on a sales forecast of about 70,000 units for the seven seat Freelander and that is akin to the original anticipate for the LRX.
