Audi A1 production in October

Audi will begin production of the new Audi A1 in October. The new A1 is a mini-car and will be for a public debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in October.

The A1 have come in two concept versions, a three-door and a five-door model. The three-door variant is expected to be launched first. Both the models will be built at Audi’s Belgium factory at Brussels. A few hundred employees will be hired for the production of this car. The plant currently produces the VW-Polo and the Audi A3 cars. The production of the VW-Polo will be stopped in this plant when the A1’s production begins.

The A1 will have both gas and diesel engine variants. The Audi A1 will compete with the MINI. This mini-car will bring more younger buyers towards Audi.
