Audi TT diesel in Australia

Audi has launched the Audi-TT powered by a diesel engine in the Australian market.

The car will have a combination of pure sportiness, compelling performance with sensational efficiency. Audi has become the first premium brand in Australia to introduce a TDI technology engine into every major model line.

The diesel variant with a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder engine that delivers power of 125kW and 350Nm of torque. The TDI in the TT Coupe an unbeatable low consumption of 5.3 litres of fuel per 100 km in the sports car segment. The TT Coupe reaches a 100km/h in 7.5 seconds and achieves a top speed of 226km/h. A six-speed manual transmission delivers the engine’s torque to the all-wheel drive, with a hydraulic multi-plate clutch as its nerve centre. The clutch can redirect power as needed from the front to the rear wheels. The car has been built using the hybrid design pioneered by Audi and the weight has been reduced to 1370 kilograms.

The car has been priced at just  $70,900.
