The Honda FR-V minivan, also known as the Honda Edix will no more be produced by August.
The people carrier will not be replaced as other models of Honda such as the Jazz and Insight are able to serve its customer base well, sources said.

The FR-V is a unique a 3+3 seater compact MPV introduced by Honda in 2004. Alongside the Fiat Multipla with a similar seating arrangement, which also failed in the market, the FR-V is currently the only compact minivan with a 3+3 seating configuration available on the European market.
FR-V has two rows with the ability to seat 6 persons. The seat in the middle can also be folded down to create a tray or arm rest. There are 32 different seating combinations available with the FR-V, three ISOFIX points and lots of cabin and load space.
The family favourite FR-V was a good success in Malaysia for its stylish looks and clever interior. Honda has sold 13,531 units FR-Vs in the UK since its launch in 2004 whereas only 2700 units of this model have been sold in South Africa since its launch in 2005.
Honda has about 30 Honda FR-V’s left. Since downsizing has become the dominant trend today, Honda will now concentrate on marketing the smaller Jazz.
