Mazda3 SP25 of 2009- a short review

Mazda recently unvweiled its aspirated flagship SP25 variant.

Mazda has concentrated more in this car as the new version of Mazda3’s launch is very important for it in this tight economic situation. The new SP25 is fitted with more equipments and is more heavier and expensive. The SP25 for 2010 arrives next month and it will be a great hit among people who enjoy rapid drives.

The engine size has been increased from 2.3-litres to a 2.5-litre, four-cylinder engine which is being used in the Mazda6. The 2.5-litre engine pumps out 24 Newton-metres. A six-speed manual transmission gearbox has been  used. A five-speed auto with a self-shift gate is used instead of the old four-speed. The SP25 emits 204 grams of CO2 for each kilometre travelled.

The MacPherson struts are used for suspension at the front and a multi-link arrangement at the rear. Braking system is provided with a ventilated 300mm rotors at the front and 280mm solid discs at the rear.

The vehicle is equipped with satellite navigation, Bluetooth, dual-zone climate control, six-CD audio, cruise control and a trip computer as standard features. A sporty body kit, clear-lens LED taillights, multi-spoke 17-inch alloy wheels with 205/50R17 89W tyres are added as new features to this vehicle.Six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), traction control, anti-lock brakes (ABS) add to the safety features.

The leather bound steering wheel is designed with controls for audio, Bluetooth, cruise control and satellite navigation. The steering is adjustable for reach and rake. The pedals are well-spaced and provide good feel and comfort.

The SP25 manual hatch costs $30,690, and the auto costs a further $32950.

Overall, this new Mazda is too good in its looks. With no doubts the new Mazda3 will satisfy all the expectations of its customers.
