Alfa Romeo Milano Photos Leaked In Facebook

The first images of the production ready Alfa Romeo Milano, have leaked out of the factory after they were posted on Facebook. The photos reveal all about the newcomer, which is set to make its official debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
The Milano is significant as the first Fiat group car to sport the new medium car platform. Alfa Romeo Milano the family hatchback is certainly more stylish than ever. Reports suggest the Milano is slightly wider and lower than the current 147, which it will replace. The car is built on the latest version of Fiat’s Group’s C- and D-segment platform, which is called C-Evo. The platform will also be used on new cars in the United States.
The Milano is expected to be more spacious than the 147 and will be powered by a range of turbocharged four-cylinder engines, including the MiTo’s 155bhp 1.4-litre turbo, while range-topping models will get the classic Alfa 3.2-litre V6. Alfa’s revolutionary Multiair engines will be compatible with the adapted platform. The car is also expected to be available with Alfa’s AMT dual-clutch tranmission. Front and four-wheel drive variants have also been mooted.
The five-door Milano has an all-new body design with styling cues that includes the oval-shaped headlamps and arrow-like bonnet lines that end with the deep Alfa shield grille. The round tail lamps are missing as the Italian designers opted for a totally different design at the back.
The Milano is based on Alfa’s new, larger mid-size car platform and will go on to underpin the next 159, likely to be called the Guilia.The Milano is expected to go on sale early in 2010.
