Audi’s Sportback concept revealed unofficially on the internet before its appearance on the Detroit Auto Show which begins later a day. The Audi’s most expected luxuries and sophisticated car have a fantastic design with four-door coupe said to be larger in size than the current A6.
The front-end looks a lot like the ones shown on the Audi metro project quattro and its evolution, the Audi A1 Sportback Concept, except the front grille loses the vertical slats, leaving only the horizontal ones. The car actually has a certain Lamborghini Estoque because of quality to it, but that’s mainly because of the tail lamps and the angular exhaust outlets.
The “four-door coupe” roofline, more like the Porsche Panamera rather than the Aston Martin Rapide, which might lead some to think its going to have a hatchback boot, but the image of the rear of the car has bootlid’s lines which do not really meet the rear glass in a way that a hatch would, but then again Audi could also be doing a hatchback-sedan dual boot lid combo much like Skoda’s new Superb.
The Audi A7 is said to be larger than the previous version Audi A6 and built on the new Audi MLP platform, which is adjustable in terms of length and width to suit different size of packaging needs.
More details about the concepts are expected to be officially unveiled, and to been seen on roads by the last quarter of 2009.
