Jaguar has allotted March2011 and the Geneva show to instigate a novel two-seat sports car named as Jaguar XE.
Geneva 2011 is going to be the 50th anniversary of the release of the E-type and the launch of a novel sports car is a superior way to commemorate, said Mike O’Driscoll, the boss of the company. The novel Jaguar XE is implemented with a front engine, rear-wheel drive and aluminum usage and it is based on a chop down Jaguar XJ platform. Also, gossips are going that Jaguar XE might be powered by a supercharged V6 engine which is based on the all-new V8motor motorizing the novel Jaguar XFR saloon. The novel Jaguar XFR saloon was revealed at this week’s Detroit motor show.
The novel sports car is not the only aspiration of Jaguar and we are upholding a fifth smaller model car, O’Driscoll added. Moreover, the small car is not going to be direct surrogate for the X-type which is to be released by next year. A smaller car could be appealing for us, but it shouldn’t be an economical Jaguar, said O’Driscoll. Jag’s literal plans are not haggard but insider’s oblique that the car is based on the 2003 RD6 model is still holding up.
In a matter of two years, it is possible to put a four-cylinder diesel in it and we are not optioning engine for the Jaguar XF, said O’Driscoll
