Honda axes Acura RWD, S2000 successor and CR-Z convertible

A Horrifying Drive from Honda indeed with the sacking of Honda NSX from its cabinet. The next two years will see a revamped Honda which will suspend its top gear drive.The sacrifices that Honda is planning to make are in the form of
rear-wheel drive cars which will find a new term of Acura brand, an initiated V8 engine, a follow up for Honda S2000 and convertible launch of Honda CR-Z coupe. Acura is deemed to be the stiff competitor for the US-luxury market esp. Infiniti and Lexus and the Honda’s move
has a devastating damages to it. The consequences have brought in heavy downfalls to NSX successor and rear-drive cars in the likes of BMW 3, 5 and 7 series. The long term vision of Honda reveals BMW 7-series, slated to be on roads by 2015, and is expected to be Honda’s
repute brand. With upcoming Honda Legend on dilemma, advancement of V8 engine for the rear-drive cars is also under siege, because the very design and efficiency of it, ever since its launch, has been on accusation by Honda engineers themselves. Honda has not spared even
minor brands like Honda CR-Z and the successive models for Honda S2000 have also received the whip. Honda’s initiative will yield a benefit, by way of saving, of many billions as it has plans to replace the pair of Honda Accords, each for the US and the remaining global countries, with a new single model. To run the show, however, Honda will hereafter concentrate on small ranges and city cars. By 2012, the
company hopes, 500000 hybrids would be designed which may include Honda Insight and the world’s first Supermini petro-electric Jazz. This sensational car, capable of 80mpg and emission level of 90g/km of carbon dioxide, is expected to thrash the roads by 2009. A long Hold On by Honda, isn’t it!
