Tiguan is the first VW vehicle to feature a BlueTec Diesel engine. The unique characteristics of BlueTec is the technology's ability to minimize nitrogen oxide emissions by 90 percent. Volkswagen also offers Tiguan with turbo charged diesel injection engines, which are known for its low fuel consumption and emissions without spoiling the dynamics and driving fun. Tiguan may be available in 3 TSI and 2 TDI engine variants. The TDI engines produce 140 hp and 170 hp as well as peak torque of 320 Nm or 350 Nm in 4-wheel drive mode. Volkswagen Tiguan can be expected in 2012.
