Maruti has launched its new small car, the Alto 800 at a price tag of Rs.2.44 to Rs.3.56 lakhs. The Alto 800 is built on the same platform of the existing Alto. The new hatchback of Maruti is available in petrol and CNG versions. The same 796cc three-cylinder engine of the Alto which is slightly modified powers the new Alto 800. The car features an all-new cabin with an impressive dashboard getting a better plastic quality and several touches of silver. It also features a lot of goodies which include grey interiors, vinyl seats, dual trip-meter, tubeless tyres, fabric seats, air-conditioning, a remote fuel-lid opener, an optional driver airbag, body-coloured bumpers and door handles, chrome-trim on front grille, full wheel-caps, silver-trim on inside door handles and speedometer, metallic finish on the steering wheel, remote opening for the hatch and internally adjustable ORVMs. The petrol variant of Alto 800 offers an ARAI mileage of 22.74kmpl. Alto 800 is a tough competitor of Hyundai Eon.
