The recently launched all-new Elantra of Hyundai is the fifth-generation Elantra which features the company’s fluidic design sculpture. The new Elantra is available in three petrol and four diesel engine variants. The sedan features many new goodies which include ventilated seats,
hill-start assist, dual-zone air-conditioning, steering-mounted audio and cruise controls, audio controls for the rear passengers, rear parking sensors along with heated mirrors. The safety features of the car include six airbags, ABS, vehicle stability management (VSM) and electronic stability control (ESC). The engine options include a four-cylinder petrol engine, a 1.8-litre petrol engine and a 1.6-litre diesel engine. The four-cylinder petrol engine delivers a peak power of 146bhp while the 1.6-litre diesel engine delivers 126bhp. Likewise, the 1.8-litre petrol engine offers an ARAI mileage of 16.3kmpl and the 1.6-litre diesel engine offers an impressive mileage of 22.7kmpl. Both the petrol and diesel engines are mated to both manual and automatic transmissions. The petrol variants are available at a price tag of Rs.13 to 15 lakhs while the diesel variants are available at a price tag of Rs.13.5 to 16 lakhs.
