Honda City Updates
September 15,2010 - Honda Siel cars India announced the launch of a special edition of Honda City and that was sold only during the festival season from September to November in the year 2010.It was featured with a trunk spoiler, side step illumination, special edition badge and chrome trunk garnish.Attractive offers were also provided to the customers.This special edition of Honda City was launched at the annual Honda event-The Great Honda Fest.
October 6,2010 - Honda Siel cars India launched a new variant of Honda City named as Honda City Exclusive.Its price was increased around Rs.46,000 more than its predecessor as it came with various changes in its interior and exterior features.This exclusive package was added to the Honda City V AT and MT variants and hence it came with an attractive price tag of Rs.10.25 lakhs and Rs. 9.53 lakhs respectively.Its changed features include leather seats and leather steering wheel cover, chrome trunk garnish, chrome door sash moulding, body colour mud flaps, Exclusive rear badge and leather shift knob only in the MT variant.

The Honda City is endowed with a stunning design and a huge boot which makes it more practical and desirable.It features a 1.5 litre,i-VTEC engine that offers high performance.The new Honda City is a luxurious sedan model that holds lot of advanced features which include new aerodynamic design, more grandeur, increased interior space, and so on.The variants of Honda City are City 1.5 E MT,City 1.5 S MT,City 1.5 V MT,City 1.5 V AT,City V MT Exclusive and City V AT Exclusive.
Design and Engineering
Exteriors
Honda City features dynamic styling with an aggressive front grille.It holds reflector lense in its headlamps which reduce the overall production cost of the car.From the rear side the new Honda City resembles BMW 3-series with its aggressive looking bumper and tail lamps.Its design is mainly taken from Honda’s luxurious sedan model Honda Civic.
Interiors
Honda City features very good interiors that are stylish, spacious and comfortable with generous leg space, excellent front visibility and enough head space.The steering wheel which is similar to the Civic feels great while the instrumentation seems overly lit.It holds dual tone dashboard that is packed with the advanced looking instrument panel and beige upholstery.Its rear seats are higher than its front seats.It also features a powerful blower with special and advanced compressor.It also has a good amount of headroom.On the whole,Honda City features impressive interiors.
Engine
City is powered by a 1.5L,i-VTEC engine with a displacement of 1497cc.The engine delivers a power of 118PS and produces a torque of 146Nm.The new i-vtec engine features 4-valves per cylinder, with larger 28mm diameter intake valves. Its valve area is increased by 4% and it reduces the over all pumping losses and offers maximum output.
Mileage and Fuel Economy
The high powerful i-vtec engine of Honda City is well known for its very good fuel efficiency and the Electronic Fuel Injection technology used in its engine offers good performance and endeavours an impressive city mileage of 17 kmpl.
Handling and Safety
The new Honda City offers more safety features, especially for pedestrians. The engine hood hinges, front fenders, front grille and front windshield support structure are especially designed to absorb energy easily.Other safety features include dual front SRS air-bags, active headrests to prevent injuries for the front passenger and driver, with the combination of ABS (Antilock Brake System) and EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution).

It is the base variant of Honda City.
Honda City 1.5 S MT
It features Multi Functional Steering Wheel, Rear Cup Holder, Integrated antenna and CD/MP3 audio system with four speakers as its additional characteristics.
Honda City 1.5 V MT
This top end variant of Honda City offers some additional features like Alloy Wheels, Seat Back Pocket, Silver Colored Inner Door Handle, Fog Lamps, Stylish Exhaust Pipe.
Honda City 1.5 V AT
All features of this variant are as same as Honda City 1.5 V MT and the only difference is that, it comes with automatic transmission gearbox.
Honda City V MT Exclusive
This variant is added with leather seats, leather steering, leather gear knob, chrome trunk garnish, Chrome door sash moulding,'Exclusive' rear badge and body coloured mud flaps.
Honda City V AT Exclusive
This top end variant sports all the features of the V AT variant and V MT Exclusive features except the leather gear shift knob.
