Yamaha to launch FZ 170cc in India?

Yamaha, the Japanese two wheeler maker to launch an updated version of FZ in the country. The updated FZ has spotted in Chennai. The updated model has already spotted testing at Greater Noida. This updated version looks very similar to the FZ concept which was showcased at 2014 Auto Expo. We can expect the launch of FZ facelift by May this year. It will take on the models such as Bajaj Pulsar 150 NS, Honda CB Trigger and the upcoming Suzuki Gixxer.

It is expected to get the cosmetic changes as well as in mechanical changes. It is expected to get a redesigned 170cc engine from the current model. It is expected to develop maximum power output of 15.6 bhp. The engine can also produce higher torque output figures than the current model.

Instrument cluster and new exhaust are the major changes in FZ facelift. It includes an all new exhaust which looks sportier than the existing exhaust type.  It also gets a fresh instrument cluster and split seat types while the previous model sports single seat. It also receives a clear lens indicators, updated centre console, number plate holder and modified tail lamp.
