Compared to that, US is a mature market and the company wants to cash in on the opportunity created by the disinterest of global majors.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7089\" title=\"mahindra_pickup_1\" src=\"http:\/\/www.vicky.in\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/07\/mahindra_pickup_1.jpg\" alt=\"mahindra_pickup_1\" width=\"400\" height=\"259\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.vicky.in\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/07\/mahindra_pickup_1.jpg 400w, http:\/\/www.vicky.in\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/07\/mahindra_pickup_1-300x194.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>By competitively pricing its products in the American market, M&amp;M plans to launch the diesel-powered two-door and four-door pick-up trucks. The SUV will be based on the Scorpio platform, completely redesigned for the US according to the stringent emission norms and badged differently. As the US is a brand-conscious market and M&amp;M is little-known there, the company will initially target the vehicles at the \u2018green consumers, tractor customers and the Indian expatriates in the US\u2019.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7090\" title=\"mahindra_pickup_2\" src=\"http:\/\/www.vicky.in\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/07\/mahindra_pickup_2.jpg\" alt=\"mahindra_pickup_2\" width=\"400\" height=\"201\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.vicky.in\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/07\/mahindra_pickup_2.jpg 400w, http:\/\/www.vicky.in\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/07\/mahindra_pickup_2-300x150.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Initially, the vehicles will land in the US as completely-knocked-down units.
