Powering the new Kwid 1.0 is a three cylinder petrol engine with a displacement of 999cc. The engine is paired to a 5-speed Manual gearbox and churns out peak power and torque figures of 68hp and 91Nm respectively.<\/p>\n<p>The 1.0-litre engine is available only in the top-spec RXT variant. Though the cabin remains unchanged, the new Kwid 1.0 features some minor updates including silver-finished wing mirror housings and a checkered strip along the lower door panels. Also, for the first time in the segment, the updated Kwid gets seatbelt pretensioners and load limiters along with optional driver-side airbag.<\/p>\n<p>It is expected that Renault will offer an AMT option for the Kwid 1.0 in the near future.
