Maruti will be the first one in India to introduce this Automated Manual Transmission (AMT).The Automated Manual Transmission(AMT) technology is derived from the famed F1 motorsports arena.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.vicky.in\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/maruti-celerio.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.vicky.in\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/maruti-celerio.jpg\" alt=\"maruti-celerio\" width=\"596\" height=\"347\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-19035\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.vicky.in\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/maruti-celerio.jpg 596w, http:\/\/www.vicky.in\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/maruti-celerio-300x174.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 596px) 100vw, 596px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The technology will allow the gears to be used like automatic transmission without using the clutch either sequentially or fully automatically. It will not change the fuel efficiency as well as the price of the car. The technology will give 5% reduction in fuel consumption as well as 5 g\/km reduction of CO2 in emission.<\/p>\n<p>The upcoming global hatchback Celerio which is to be unveiled at the Auto Expo 2014 will get Automated Manual Transmission (AMT).It allows the driver to change the gears directly without engaging the clutch. Senior Executive, Maruti Suzuki said, &#8220;It gives the comfort of an automatic transmission and the fuel efficiency of a manual transmission\u201d.
