Toyota rolls out new Camry Hybrid from India plant

Japanese car maker, Toyota has launched its new Camry Hybrid car at a price of Rs.29.75 lakh. The Camry Hybrid is the first locally manufactured hybrid car in India. It gets 2.5 litre beltless petrol engine which is mated to Electronically Controlled Continuous Variable Transmission (E-CVT). E-CVT gives reduced fuel consumption and less noise, vibration harshness.

The both engine and electric motor can develop the total power of 205 PS. The battery capacity of this hybrid system is 6.5 A/hr. Electric motor converts the kinetic energy into electric energy. So this hybrid vehicle is totally different from other electric vehicles. It does not require external charging. The Hybrid Synergy drive can sense and switch between the petrol engine and electric motor.

It will be available in four different colors silver metallic, grey metallic, attitude black and white pearl crystal shine. It gets the features like three zone climate control, ventilated front seats, four air bags, corner sensors, hill start control, traction control and vehicle stability control.
